Holden Fire & Rescue battled a grass fire Tuesday afternoon in a field just east of 14th and Clay in the southeast portion of Holden.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting lane closures on Lafayette and Johnson County Route Z between Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 50 for resurfacing.
