Stolen Motorcycle Recovered, Two Arrested

Police were dispatched on October 21 to the 1600 block of E. 9th Street to check on a possible stolen motorcycle.

Police say a stolen 2006 Harley Davidson Sportster was located and recovered. 50-year-old William E. Stark Jr. of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Police say marijuana was located on Stark during a secondary search at the jail. Charges are being sought of receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, and introduction of a controlled substance into a jail facility.

Another suspect at the scene, 39-year-old Richard A. Jones, was found to have two warrants from Tipton. Jones was also arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
