A St. Louis fisherman drowned Sunday morning in Ozark County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 71-year-old Richard D. Brasington of St. Louis was fishing and wading in the North Fork of the White River, upstream from the Sunburst Takeout (extreme southern Missouri) around 10 a.m., when he apparently drowned and was later pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m., by Ozark County Coroner Gene Britt.

The body was taken to Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville.

The drowning was the fourth for Troop G this year.
