Sedalia Police stopped a truck in the area of West 14th Street and South Grand Avenue for a moving violation Sunday morning.

The driver immediately took off on foot. A foot pursuit ensued, and the driver was captured. He provided false identification.

After an investigation, he was found to be intoxicated by drugs and alcohol, in possession of marijuana, and had a revoked driver's status out of Missouri.

He was transported to a hospital and then the Pettis County Jail. He had methamphetamine concealed in his sock.

Liborio Ubaldo Herrera, 38, Homeless, was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending charges of felony Driving While Intoxicated, felony Resisting Arrest, Possession of Methamphetamine, Introduction of a Controlled Substance into a Jail Facility, Identity Theft, Driving While Revoked, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a License, and Possession of Marijuana.
