The Smithton PTO will be hosting its annual Spring Carnival and Auction on Saturday, March 4 at the Smithton School.

The Smithton PTO has done so much great work for the school kids of Smithton.  They've put Smartboards in every classroom, replaced the gravel on the playground and funded field trips for the kids. They definitely want to fill in all the gaps that unfortunately get left sometimes in school budgets.

They've normally done their Carnival in the fall (and they've been doing it for more than 20 years), but they've seen how eager parents and friends are to get out this time of year, which means it's Carnival time!

The carnival games will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. They will have bounce houses, pop toss, Plinko, basketball throw, cake walk, bingo and much more. The silent auction is from 3:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. Some of the items are a Duke Manufacturing table, a donation from Waterloo, several certificates for fun in Branson, Kansas City & St. Louis, Disney World passes, Sea World Orlando passes, an American Girl Doll, and tons more. The live basket auction starts at 7:00 p.m. There will also be a pasta dinner hosted by the Senior Parents for Project Graduation in the cafeteria from 4:00 p.m.  to 7:00 p.m.

The fun will begin at 3:00 p.m. with carnival games, bingo and silent auctions. A chili dinner will be from 3:30 to 6:30 with the basket auction starting at 7:00.

Come out and support the PTO and the students. There will be lots of fun for all ages.

Carnivally yours,
Behka
