It's always a treat to have cadets come to the radio station to talk about their experiences with the JROTC.  Wednesday morning I was lucky enough to have three seniors from Smith-Cotton High School come into the studio to tell us about themselves and what the program has done for them.  Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Kendall Ott, Cadet Colonel Shelbi Davis, and Cadet Command Sergeant Major Connor Greene were on the air during the 8:00 hour.  The JROTC Program prepares high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privilege as American citizens. The program is a stimulus for promoting graduation from high school and it provides instruction and rewarding opportunities, which will benefit the student, community, and nation.  It's refreshing what the program has done for them and where it's taking them.  Congratulations to them and all the other cadets!
