Emma Siron came to the ballpark at Lone Jack and meant business on Monday, tallying five hits and leading Sacred Heart to a 11-4 win over Lone Jack.

Siron singled in the first, fourth, sixth and seventh.

Sacred Heart (with La Monte) earned the victory, despite allowing Lone Jack to score three runs in the third inning. The Lady Gremlins scored one run when Emma Schouten doubled. Lone Jack knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the third inning.

Sacred Heart pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth, Veronica Vanegas singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Siron singled on the first pitch of her at-bat, scoring one run.

The Lady Gremlins scored three runs in the seventh inning. Sammy Altena, Vanegas and Siron all drove in runs in the frame.

Zoe Martin pitched Sacred Heart to victory. The righty went three innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out five. Schouten threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen. Schouten recorded the last 12 outs to earn the save for Sacred Heart.

Sacred Heart racked up 14 hits in the game. Siron, Vanegas, Martin and Altena each managed multiple hits for SH. Siron led Sacred Heart with five hits in five at-bats. SH stole 12 bases during the game as six players stole more than one. Siron led the way with two.

Hayden Altena had nine defensive chances in the field, the most on the team.

This brings the team to a 6-4 record. Next action is tonight vs Cole Camp at La Monte.
