The Sacred Heart Boys beat the Sturgeon Bulldogs, 52-33.

The Grems improved to 4-1 on the season with a first-round victory Tuesday night in the Pilot Grove Tournament.

Max Van Leer led the way with 20 points, while Miles Johnson chipped in 15.

Sturgeon is now 1-1.

Next up the Grems (4-1) play Thursday night vs Smithton Tigers (2-2).

Sacred Heart plays Santa Fe (0-4) in regular season action Dec. 17 at home.


 

Previously at home on Dec. 5, the Gremlins improved to 3-1 on the season with a 66-51 victory over the St. Paul’s Saints.

Leading the way was senior Jacob Cordia with a career-high 25 points, while junior Max Van Leer chipped in 16, and senior Grant Goodwin added 8.
