So right about now, normally we'd be gearing up for another round of concerts at the Missouri State Fair Grandstands.  But, well, things are different this year.
It just has to be different, I know that.  I think you know that too.  But you know what, maybe next year we'll get our shows back.  But since we can't this year, let's look back a little to see what was playing back in the day.

1990: Air Supply / Three Dog Night

1991: The Beach Boys

REO Speedwagon / The Marshall Tucker Band

Huey Lewis & the News

1992: Hanna Barbera Show (I had to google this. I guess it was a children's show?)

Color Me Badd (OH.MY.GOD. Why was I not at that show? Did everyone get adequately sexed up?)

1993:  Rockin' Trolls Show w/ 'Rina the Ballarina, Arnie Trollsenegger & MC Trollman (I don't know anything about this one, but MC Trollman is a perfect name.)

Michael Bolton

Kenny G (OH. MY. GOD. AGAIN.)

The New Rascals / The Drifters / Bobby Vee / Lou Christie

1995 Bad Company/Ted Nugent

1996 Lynyrd Skynyrd / Doobie Brothers

Michael Bolton (If I'm right, I have a story about this show. I was working at Gate 8 that year as a high schooler. People from the fair came around to each gate and handed out stacks of tickets to this show. They said - and again, I'm just going off of what I remember -that he was in a helicopter and would not perform if the venue wasn't sold out. So they were giving out tickets to fill the seats. I wonder if that is right, or if it's just how I remembered it.)

Gin Blossoms / Goo Goo Dolls

1997 ZZ Top

1998 Savage Garden / Billie Myers

REO Speedwagon / Kansas

1999 Goo Goo Dolls / Sugar Ray / Fastball

Journey / Shooting Star

Def Leppard

2001 Bob Dylan (I have a very clear memory of being in the back of my parent's minivan when we drove by the marquee and I saw his name. I think I must have been home from college. Anyway, I saw that, gasped, and swore. My Mom was not happy with me.)

George Thorogood & Fabulous Thunderbirds

Mya / LFO (MYA? Holy crap, I haven't thought about her for YEARS.)

Vince Neil / Slaughter / Ratt / Vixen

2002 REO Speedwagon / Styx

I noticed a few repeats here and there. And yes, if you're curious... the band with the most repeat performances is REO SPEEDWAGON! Congrats, dudes.

Anyway. Which of these shows did you go to? Which one was the best? Which one was the worst?

Concertly yours,
Behka
