The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners took their #9 ranking in the country to Mineral Area Community College on Saturday. The Lady Roadrunners already secured the #1 seed in the Region 16 Championship, but Coach Kevin Bucher and Coach Jordan Greenleaf readied the team with championship week and wanted to win it outright. A Mineral Area Community College win, would have made them co-champions, but the ladies came out firing away and never looked back.

The Lady Roadrunners (22-5, 10-0 Region 16)  won 77-62 over Mineral Area Community College to win the regular season Region 16 Championship and the Midwest Community College Athletic Conference.

The Lady Roadrunners were guided by Zhanesha Dickerson, who 19 points and 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals Dickerson when en fuego, when she had four straight three-pointers in the second half to help seal the victory over Mineral Area Community College.

The men's team wrapped up the regular season and lost 109 to 82 to Mineral Area Community College on their homecoming game. Clint Robinson scored 23 points and was named the Bob Oehrke Player of the Game. Mineral Area Community College won the Region 16 Regular Season Championship and will have the #1 seed in the Region 16 Tournament in Joplin.

The Roadrunners (4-23, 0-8 Region 16) will go onto play Missouri State University-West Plains on Tuesday in West Plains for the first round of the Region 16 Tournament. West Plains won both games this season against SFCC by a score of 78 to 51 on Feb. 11 and 106-53 on Jan. 20.
