Here's a look at what's going on this weekend. 

The Angler’s Port Marine Cabin Fever Sports Show will take place this weekend.

It will be February 7 and 8 at the Mathewson Exhibition Center in Sedalia, Mo. Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

United BowHunters of Missouri Festival will be held on February 6 through February 8.

They’ll meet at the Country Club Hotel and Spa in Lake Ozark. The banquet speaker will be Dick Robertson of Robertson Stykbow. There will also be a Black Widow custom bow raffle, a photography contest, archery dealers, custom bowyers, trader’s blanket, live auction, silent auction, indoor shooting range, and game mount displays. Ticket prices for an adults are $40, for youth the cost is $15. That includes the banquet meal and access to all activities. The VFW Post 2591 presents the World Famous Girls Night out: The Show.

The show will feature the original touring cast of The Chippendales. The event will be on Friday, February 6 with showtime at 8:00 p.m. The cost is $18 in advance, $25 at the door, and there’s a $50 VIP package. VIP’s get front row seats, a picture with the Chippendales, an onstage special performance, and a meet and greet. Purchase your tickets online at www.girlsnightouttheshow.com. The Shrine Club of Sedalia will have their monthly breakfast.

It’s open to the public and held at 1375 Elm Hills blvd. It’ll happen on Saturday, February 7 from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. They’ll serve eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, juice, milk or coffee for $6. For to go orders, call 660-281-3619 or 826-6171

There will be a Ground Hog dinner on February 7.

The Dinner will be held at the Community of Christ, 2000 South Ingram, from 11-2 and 4-7. They’ll have Ground Hog, biscuits, potatoes, gravy, green beans, salads, dessert and a drink for a cost of $8 adult and $4 child. 5 and under eat free.

There will be a benefit to raise money for Dale Kearney in his cancer fight.

It’ll be held at the Sedalia Moose Lodge, 119 Winchester Road on Saturday, February 7. They’ll begin festivities at 4:00 p.m. and go until 7:00 p.m. They’ve got hoodies, shirts, tumblers, mini photo sessions, and the benefit chicken dinner with a dessert silent auction and a community donated silent auction. They’ll also have an adults only section of the evening with a dance and music from Sweetwater beginning at 7:00 p.m. Find them on Facebook for more information.

Warrensburg Blackwater Duck Unlimited Dinner will be held on February 7.

From labor and delivery to caring for a newborn, breastfeeding and infant safety, Bothwell Regional Health Center educates parents on what to expect.

Our three separate classes are designed to provide the information you need to get off to a good start with your newborn. Classes are free, but preregistration is required.
Each class is taught by a nurse specially trained in pregnancy, labor, childbirth and parenting skills. Labor & the Birthday Party should be taken first. Taking Care of Your Newborn and Breastfeeding or Just Thinking About It can be taken in any order.  Sedalia classes are held in the Bothwell Education Center on the southeast corner of 14th and Ingram. Classes in Warsaw are held at Bothwell Health Center – Truman Lake, 1765 Commercial. Participants should dress comfortably and casually.  To enroll for classes, please print and complete the registration form, and mail as directed. You also may e-mail your information to classes@brhc.org or call (660) 827-9138. Class sizes are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

The SPR Youth Baseball program is for kids aged 5-14.

The age cut off is May 1. Practices begin in April; games are held in May and June. We will need coaches and sponsors. During early Bird Registration, February 9-27, fees are $35 a child. Fees are $45 during Open Registration, which is March 2-13. Patrons may also register at Pummill’s Sporting Goods.
