Sedalian Arrested in Rollover Wreck
On Monday night, Oct. 12, Sedalia Police responded to the 1400 block of Thompson Boulevard for a report of a motor vehicle collision.
Further information was obtained at the scene that the suspect vehicle had been in a motor vehicle accident involving another vehicle on West 16th Street.
The SUV had collided into the rear of a westbound truck on West 16th, and then fled the scene about a minute prior to being involved in a single vehicle rollover accident on Thompson Boulevard.
52-year-old Carol Renee Gann, of Sedalia, refused medical treatment and was arrested at the scene of the second motor vehicle accident for felony Driving While Intoxicated (persistent offender), Failing to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
Gann was then transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained for her blood. Gann was then transported to Bothwell Regional Hospital and then on to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on a 24-hour hold.
A passenger in the victim vehicle sustained injury, and was transported by PCAD to the Bothwell Regional Health Center where she was treated and released.
