A Hughesville man was injured in a one vehicle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2013 Cadillac XTS, driven by an 87-year-old man from Hughesville, was on Route H, south of Fowler Road just after 3 p.m., when the driver experienced a medical episode lost control of the Cadillac, which traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment.

The vehicle then became airborne before striking the ground and coming to rest.

 

The man suffered minor injuries and was transported to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia by PCAD. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Cadillac had extensive damage and was towed by Don’s Towing.
