Sedalia Police Reports for September 3, 2021

On Thursday at 9:23 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Main and Limit for disobeying a stop sign. Both the driver and passenger were found to be in possession of marijuana. Charges were requested through the Juvenile Office.
On Thursday at 9:01 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 600 block of W. 4th for found property. A black & red Kent Bicycle was placed into storage for safekeeping until the owner can be located.
On Thursday at 5:30 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 4th and Grand on a vehicle with an equipment violation. The driver gave police a false name. A computer check later revealed that 31-year-old Alicia Marie Sims of Sedalia was driving while revoked. She was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released, pending charges of identity theft and driving while revoked.
On Thursday night, Sedalia Police took a property damage report in the 400 block of Albright Court. Complainant stated that someone keyed the driver's side of their vehicle. The damage was estimated at $250.
On Thursday at 1:48 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to Bothwell ER in reference to an assault that occurred in the 500 block of West 3rd. The female complainant said that a male assaulted her. The suspect, 42-year-old Rodney Douglas Bellew of Sedalia, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail. He was charged with 3rd degree assault.
On Aug. 29 at 9:47 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1500 block of E. 16th for a disturbance. The victim was eventually located at McDonald's. The suspect was located in the 1500 block of E. 24th. 32-year-old Sophina Diney of Ausville, Oregon, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. She was charged with 3rd degree assault.
On Thursday at 11 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to Probation and Parole, 205 Thompson Road, on a subject with a warrant. A computer check revealed that 26-year-old Ashley Nicole Clark of Sedalia was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for a probation violation. The warrant had a bond of $2,000 cash or $2500 surety. Clark was placed under arrest and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
On Thursday at 12:35 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to Ohio and Morgan for a report of an animal bite. The victim refused medical transport, but wished to pursue charges. The suspect, 63-year-old Cynthia S. Gibson of Sedalia, was issued a Municipal summons for Animals Biting Persons with a court date of Oct. 8. The dog was returned to the owner's home.
On Thursday at 8:42 a.m., Sedalia Police took a report of a theft from a vehicle that occurred at 2529 Southwest Blvd. A firearm was stolen from the vehicle, which was valued at $500.
On Thursday at 12:13 p.m., Sedalia Police noticed a vehicle with expired license plates at Highway 65 and 16th. A computer check confirmed that it was expired and a traffic stop was conducted. 23-year-old Morgan Taylor Foote of Sedalia was found to be driving while suspended. Foote was taken into custody and taken to the SPD for fingerprinting, then released on summons.
On Wednesday at 2:20 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 713 E. Broadway (Dollar General) for a theft report. Heather Viles reported that one of her employees has been stealing from the store. The suspect, 41-year-old Angela Dawn Reyes of Sedalia, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.
On Thursday at 5:55 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to Breaktime, 318 W. Broadway for a possible domestic disturbance. A computer check of one of the subjects revealed that 24-year-old Nadelene Meseky of Sedalia was wanted on two Pettis County warrants for failure to appear on original charges of expired registration and no insurance. Meseky was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, Bond was $400 cash only.
On Wednesday at 3:56 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to Pettis County Community Partnership in the State Fair Shopping Center for a suicidal subject. The subject voluntarily went to Bothwell Regional Health Center for mental assessment.
