On Tuesday at 4:45 p.m., Sedalia Police were dispatched to Probation and Parole, 205 Thompson, for a report of a suspect there with a probation violation warrant. Contact was made with the subject, and the warrant was confirmed out of Arkansas. 37-year-old Anthony J. Henson of Sedalia was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was held, pending transportation to the Arkansas Department of Corrections. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice.


 

On Monday around 4 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of North Prospect. According to the report, one suspect pushed and slapped the other suspect in the head. The other suspect had departed prior to officers' arrival. Police returned to the residence later when the other suspect returned. That suspect said the other suspect was physically abusive towards them, and denied hitting him. No injuries were noted on either subject and no primary physical aggressor could be determined. A 12-hour log was created.


 

On Tuesday at 6:15 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1300 block of E. 22nd for a possible injured animal. Upon arrival, the officer determined that the raccoon had distemper. The animal was put down to remove it from further suffering.


On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., Sedalia Police took a property damage report in the 1900 block of South Prospect. There was damage to a door and lock latch outside of a building.


 

On Tuesday at 10:45 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1900 block of South Missouri. The caller said her juvenile child had their phone taken away from them and then attempted to get the phone back by twisting on her arm. A juvenile referral was completed.


 

On Wednesday at 12:17 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep with expired plates. A DOR check revealed that the driver, 51-year-old Lynn Kristine Nielsen of Green Ridge, was suspended out of Missouri. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was issued a Municipal citations for driving while suspended, expired plates and no proof of insurance. Nielsen now has an Oct. 25 court date.


 

On Tuesday at 2:17 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1500 block of Vermont for domestic violence. Both subjects had minor injuries, but refused medical treatment. Officers were unable to determine a primary aggressor, so a 12-hour log was created. No charges were being pursued at the time of the report.


 

On Tuesday at 7:58 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to a motor vehicle accident near Broadway and Harding. No injuries were reported. One of the drivers was was suspended. 44-year-old Tatiana M. Zalozh of Sedalia was taken to the SPD for fingerprinting. She was issued a traffic citation for driving while suspended and failing to provide proof of insurance and then released. Zalozh now has a Sept. 22 court date.


 

On Tuesday at 1:13 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper registration. The driver, 35-year-old Brandon J. Campbell of Warsaw, initially provided false information to the officer. A search of the vehicle yielded a Missouri ID card. Campbell had three outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. Two were out of Henry County with a total bond of $25,000 cash only, and a court date of Sept. 24, and the other was a probation and parole warrant with no bond.


 

On Tuesday, someone turned in a cell phone that was found on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The owner could not be determined and the phone was placed into evidence.
