Wednesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Warren Avenue for a report of found property. Officers arrived on scene and met with Cali Lynn Colgan, who reported a bicycle was abandoned. The bicycle was taken to the Sedalia Police Department for safekeeping.


 

Officers received a phone call about harassment and threats that had occurred in the 400 block of Buckner court Wednesday evening. The victim gave very limited information. The information was taken and documented.


 

On the afternoon of September 12th, Sedalia Police responded to the Otten's Small Engine, 2617 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft. A subject purchased a mower from the business over the phone, and had the mower shipped from the business. The transaction seemed suspicious, but the card company advised it was a valid purchase at the time. On the evening of September 27th, Officers returned to the business. They were informed that the transaction had been rejected and flagged as fraudulent. The value of the mower was estimated at approximately $6,099.00. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 300 block of McAnally Court Wednesday morning. Dispatch advised that a subject at the residence had active arrest warrants. Officers arrived and made contact with the suspect. The warrants were confirmed. Bridget Marie Pardee, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for her two Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Possession of Marijuana and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. Pardee was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $300 cash only bond the warrants.


 

Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a domestic disturbance report. The complainant stated the disturbance happened the night prior in the 2400 block of West 1st Street Terrace. The victim said her daughter kicked her in the ribs, resulting in a possible broken rib.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Cheryl Ann McGinnis Kalkman made a report of theft. Kalkman stated that someone known to her stole $740 in cash from her. About an hour later, Kalkman turned herself in on a Morgan County warrant. Kalkman, 61, Homeless, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail on her warrant for felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and misdemeanor Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kalkman was booked and released according to her bond conditions. Bond conditions in this case were a bond text of: 10% cash or surety. Also, the defendant shall submit to a chemical test or tests of defendant's breath, blood, saliva or urine for the purpose of determining the alcohol or drug content of defendant's blood at anytime requested to do so by any law enforcement or court officer, and upon a refusal to take the test or a positive test result, the defendant shall remain in custody until further order of court.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers spoke with Robert E. Esser in reference to a theft. Esser stated that in the last two weeks, someone stole a license plate from his vehicle in the 400 block of South Quincy Avenue.


 

On the morning of September 30th, Officers met with a victim in the Police Department lobby. She stated that sometime during the previous day, a pill bottle containing prescription medication was taken from her vehicle. It is unknown where the vehicle was parked at the time the medication was taken. The value of the medication is $20.00.


 

Officers responded to the Woods Supermarket, 701 East Broadway Boulevard on the afternoon of September 26th for a report of forgery. A subject purchased items in the store and paid with a counterfeit $20 bill. No suspects have been identified at this time.
