Last Thursday afternoon, Officers were called to the 2500 block of Stacey Lane for a report of property damage. Mickey Eldred reported an unknown subject caused minor damage to a parked car.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Buckle Store, 890 Thompson Boulevard, last Thursday afternoon for a report of theft. The suspect came into the store and left without paying for several pieces of clothing.


 

Sunday night, Officers responded to the 1200 block of West 16th Street in reference to a hit and run accident. Officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated she struck a pedestrian in the roadway after he ran out in front of her. The pedestrian, described as a male wearing all black, left the scene on foot. No suspects have been identified.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of West 20th Street on the evening of October 30th. Cody Patton reported the driver's side mirror of a motor vehicle was damaged while parked. It could not be determined what caused the damage. The approximate value was estimated at $500.


 

Saturday night, Officers stopped a vehicle in the area of West 7th Street and South Kentucky Avenue. Officers had observed the vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a warrant from Pettis County for their arrest. Jason Allen England, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for his felony warrant for Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Causing Over $1000 in Property Damage).


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of East 12th Street and South Marshall Avenue Sunday night for a report of suspicious activity. When Officers arrived, they contacted the subjects and checked their information with Dispatch. Brandon Keith Vogan, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant from Pettis County on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Vogan was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked pending a $7500 cash or surety bond.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area near the Ward's Memorial Baptist Church for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, Officers secured the scene and spoke with the remaining subjects in the area. Shell casings were located and collected on scene, but no victims were identified. The suspect has not yet been located.


 

Sunday evening, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department for a report of a runaway juvenile. Officers collected the report and then searched the frequented locations, but were unable to locate the juvenile. There was no further information in the report.


 

Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of trespassing Saturday night. When Officers arrived, they confirmed the subject had been trespassed from the store prior. Jonathan D. Buri, 37, of Smithton, was issued a citation for Trespassing and released from the scene.


 

Sedalia Police made contact with a wanted subject at the Sonic Drive In, 2800 South Limit Avenue Sunday night. After contact, the subject's Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant was confirmed. Cynthia J. Snow, 56, Homeless, was arrested for her warrant on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Bond on the warrant was set at $131.00 cash only.


 

Sunday evening, Officers responded to the 2800 block of South Stewart Avenue for a report of a missing juvenile. Information was collected on the missing subject, and that information was entered into NCIC. No foul play is suspected.


 

Officers responded to the 300 block of East 2nd Street for a report of a stolen vehicle Sunday afternoon. Contact was made with Andra Madarine Pardoe, who reported a male subject had stolen her vehicle. Pardoe later informed Officers she had made contact with the subject, and the vehicle was being returned. Pardoe no longer wanted to pursue any charges on the suspect.

Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Station to speak with Carlene M. Kranz about someone using her information to try and order cellular phones. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Kranz through the use of a translator. Officers were informed that someone tried to make cell phone purchases between September and October. Kranz stated the charge was cancelled before any money was taken from the account. There are no suspects at this time. A report was completed with the AT&T Fraud Division.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers performed a traffic stop on a white Dodge Journey for expired registration. The stop happened at the CVS store, 100 East Broadway Boulevard. A computer check of the passenger found he had a warrant out of Pettis County for Probation Violation on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated. Robert Darnell Balance, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with bond set at $300 cash only.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department for a call regarding identity theft Saturday morning. Officers gathered the necessary information to generate a report.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the area of West 11th Street and South Warren Avenue for a report of a disturbance occurring in the roadway. Officers were able to locate the parties near the American Inn, 1217 South Limit Avenue. During the investigation, it was discovered that the male party had a Pettis County warrant. Dalton Wright, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway With out A Valid License. Wright was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers were dispatched to the south side of the city limits for a report of a wrong way driver. The vehicle was soon located near the McDonalds restaurant, 1611 South Limit Avenue. Officers stopped the vehicle in the McDonald's parking lot drive through. The driver exited his vehicle and fled on foot, where a short foot pursuit took place. He was captured, arrested, and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Patrick T. Peterson, 59, of Warsaw, was placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Driving While Revoked, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and felony Resisting Arrest.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Department lobby Sunday evening in reference to a possible identity theft out of Tennessee. At this time, it appears a crime has not been committed. A report was generated to document the incident.


 

Saturday evening, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department for a report of found property. A Simmons Visa debit card was reportedly found at an ATM in the 800 block of Thompson Boulevard. The debit card was placed into evidence for safe keeping.


 

On the morning of October 20th, Officers responded to the Woods Supermarket, 701 East Broadway Boulevard to investigate a reported shoplifting in progress. Upon arrival, Officers met with the complainant. She stated a male was still inside the store, but had concealed merchandise on his person. Officers made contact with the suspect, and he was taken into custody for shoplifting approximately $46 worth of alcohol. John Paul Nevels, 69, of Sedalia, was issued a citation and court date for Shoplifting. Nevels was also advised that he was trespassed from Woods' properties.


 

Saturday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Vermont Avenue for a report of a disturbance. When Officers arrived, the disturbance was cleared, and the suspects involved had their information checked with Dispatch. Officers were informed that one of the suspects had a Benton County Failure to Appear warrant. Officers took the suspect to the BRHC to be medically cleared. After he was deemed fit for confinement, he was transported to the Pettis County Jail. David A.D. Lindsey, 33, of Green Ridge, was held on his FTA warrant on felony charges of Non Support of a Child (In Excess of 12 Months). Lindsey was held pending a cash only bond of $500, or until he would be transported to Benton County.


 

On the afternoon of October 19th, Officers met with Stephanie Casey in the lobby of the Police Department. Casey stated that over the last several months while he has been incarcerated, she has received letters via mail from the father of her child. Casey stated she has an active order of protection against him, and he is not to be contacting her in any way. The order of protection was verified. Officers are requesting charges against the suspect for Violation of an Order of Protection.


 

Friday evening, Officers responded to the 700 block of East Broadway for a report of a subject laying in the parking lot. When Officers arrived, contact was made with an intoxicated subject. While speaking with him, he became aggressive with Officers. Officers placed the subject into protective custody. The subject was then transported to the BRHC. While at the hospital, he assaulted Officers. After medical treatment, the subject was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Gary Douglas Horn, 37, of Green Ridge, was placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of felony Assault in the 3rd Degree, two counts of Assault in the 4th Degree, and Resisting Arrest.


 

Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Police Station lobby in reference to a found cell phone. The phone was found in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue earlier that morning. The phone has been entered into evidence for safe keeping.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1500 block of East 6th Street for a reported domestic disturbance Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, the two parties were separated and spoken to by Officers. During the investigation, it was determined that both parties had minor injuries. Officers were unable to determine a primary physical aggressor. The report is being completed as a 12 hour log.
