Early Monday morning, a car was stopped in the area of West 32nd Street and South Park Avenue for speeding. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was also in possession of marijuana. Trace Daniel Dunham, 20, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. There, Dunham was booked and released on a state charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs).


 

Officers were dispatched to the Police Station lobby Monday morning in reference to a theft. Officers spoke with Dylan B. Clark, who stated his bicycle was stolen in the area of East 13th Street and South Ohio Avenue while he was visiting a friend. A description of the bicycle was given, but no suspects are known at this time.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express, 4001 West Broadway Boulevard Sunday night in reference to a theft. Information was gathered from the complainants, Galina L. Ray and Olga McHone. They believed money was stolen out of their hotel room earlier that day. No suspects are known at this time.


 

Sunday night, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft report. Officers spoke with a member of Asset Protection, Stephanie L. Webster. Webster stated a male left the store without paying for items. Video footage was obtained from the store.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a Silver Dodge Nitro in the area of West 9th Street and South Quincy Avenue Sunday night. The vehicle was stopped due to the rear license plate of the vehicle not registering to the suspect vehicle. A check through Dispatch showed the driver of the vehicle had no driver's license in Missouri and a suspended license out of Kansas. Justin R. June, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released on charges of Driving While Suspended.


 

Sunday morning, a car was stopped at the Break Time Store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard, after it was observed making several moving violations. The vehicle was also giving indicators of intoxicated driving. The driver was found to be intoxicated. Cecilio Rubio-Leon, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested on state charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Suspended, and a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of DWI and Operating a Motor Vehicle On the Highway Without a Valid License. Rubio-Leon was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $500 cash only bond.


 

Friday night, an SUV was stopped at West 16th Street and South Warren Avenue because it was failing to maintain its lane several times. The vehicle also had a rear license plate cover obstructing the visibility of the license plate. The driver was found to have two Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Driving While Revoked, and his driving privileges were still revoked. The driver was also found to be intoxicated by drugs. Osvaldo Sebastian, 20, of Sedalia, was taken to a hospital and then to the Pettis County Jail. Sebastian was booked in his FTA warrants, given a $500 cash only bond, and then booked and released on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs) and Driving While Revoked.

Sedalia Police stopped a truck in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue Sunday morning after the truck had made an improper turn. The truck was also observed failing to maintain its lane. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated by drugs and alcohol. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also located in the truck. Alison M. Kowalski, 47, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of East 7th Street for a report of a disturbance Friday night. Officers spoke to one subject involved, and then checked their information through Dispatch. It was then learned he had an active Pettis County Warrant for Driving While Revoked. The warrant carried a $3500 cash or surety bond. Jeffrey Lockington, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Friday night, Officers performed a traffic stop on a black passenger vehicle because it had an expired temporary tag. The traffic stop took place in the area of South Grand Avenue and West 16th Street. Officers spoke to the driver and the occupant and checked their information with Dispatch. It was then learned the occupant had an active Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County on original charges of Expired Plates. Chelsey Zadia Johnson, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested on the warrant wand transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $89.00.


 

A motor vehicle crash was reported on the Missouri State Fairgrounds late Saturday night. The truck stuck a fire hydrant, and caused damage to the suspect's truck. Castro Perez Genivardo, 20, of Columbia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Genivardo was taken to the Pettis County Jail pending release to a sober person.


 

Saturday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a report of vandalism. Upon arrival, Officers met with Sandy Ballard Sutterby. Officers gathered all of the necessary information and documented it in the report. There were no suspects identified.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Boonville Street for a suspected burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Officers determined that it was not a burglary, but a case of trespassing. Officers gathered the necessary information on scene, and issued a citation for Trespassing to Tiffany Marie Morrill, 34, of Sedalia. Morill then vacated the premises.


 

Sedalia Police were contacted in the parking lot of the Fortune Palace restaurant, 3005 South Limit Avenue, Saturday night for assistance in a case of stalking. Maranda M. Amos asked for assistance in finding an Apple Tag was that tracking the vehicle. The car was searched in the parking lot, and the Apple Tag was located and turned over to Police. Officers collected the necessary information to write a report.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Carr Avenue Sunday morning for a report of a theft from a shed. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Robert D. Gardner. Gardner stated that he checked his surveillance cameras and observed a suspect force entry into his shed. The suspect stole $200 worth of medical marijuana and caused approximately $500 in damage to the shed. At the time of the report, the suspect had not yet bene identified.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to Katy Park, 2200 South Grand Avenue Sunday morning in reference to a subject misusing 911. Emergency Dispatch received four 911 calls from the subject within 11 minutes. The subject making the call was not reporting an emergency, and at times cursed the emergency operators. Jacob E. Hopkins was located and arrested for Misuse of 911. Hopkins was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Officers were called to the 1100 block of East 15th Street Sunday morning to investigate a possible vehicle theft. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with Aullnie Eugene Colvin, and a witness. They reported that a vehicle was initially loaned to someone known to them for an hour last Thursday night. The vehicle has not been returned at this time. Officers have called and left a voicemail for the suspect. There is nothing further at this time.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Station to speak with city employees who wanted to report water meter damage. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the employee, David K. Murray. Murray stated that the water meter was removed at 2107 East Broadway Boulevard, and placed on the meter at 2109 East Broadway Boulevard. That resulted in an emergency repair needing to be done. The cost of the repairs was estimated at $700. A suspect was named and questioned by staff. They were not able to determine who damaged the meter. There are no other suspects at this time.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of McAnally Court in reference to a violation of a court order Saturday evening. After investigation into the issue, it was determined there was not enough evidence to move forward with charges at this time.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers went to the Bothwell Regional Health Center in regards to a report of property damage. A vending machine at the hospital was damaged. The suspect was identified. Erik Lee West, 41, of Sedalia, was issued a summons for Destruction of Non-City Property.


 

On the afternoon of September 30th, a cashier at the Woods Supermarket, 701 East Broadway Boulevard, was handed a quantity of drugs by a customer. The customer was not identified. The drugs were secured in evidence for destruction.


 

Sedalia Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Lamine Avenue last Friday afternoon in reference to a possibly stolen vehicle. It was determined the vehicle as not stolen. However, a subject at the residence was discovered to have an active warrant out of Johnson County for felony Driving While Intoxicated (Habitual). Jason W. Johnson, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, with bond set at $5,000 cash only.


 

Last Tuesday morning, Officers arrived in the 1500 block of South Limit Avenue to check on the well being of a suspect. While checking her well being, she explained that she had been beaten and items had been taken from her the previous evening. She was not sure of the exact time, but stated the incident happened behind the Perkins restaurant, 1100 South Limit Avenue. She had severe injuries to her face and body. It was evident she was highly intoxicated. She was treated at the BRHC. Tina Marie Swatek, 59, Homeless, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold. A suspect has not been identified in the assault.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the 500 block of East 25th Street for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, Officers spoke to Patricia Reeves, the home owner. Reeves stated someone had entered the house and items were removed. The total value of the theft was set at $5,000. At the time of the report, a suspect had not yet been located.


 

Officers took a report of a runaway juvenile in the lobby of the Police Station Friday evening from Alicia Lynn Wilson. The juvenile was later located out of state by another agency. The parents of the juvenile were informed and will be arranging to pick up the juvenile.


 

On the morning of September 28th, Officers stopped a truck in the area of West 20th Street and South Quincy Avenue. The truck had a passenger side headlight out. After an investigation, it was determined the driver and passenger were both in possession of methamphetamine. Gregory Allen Hulbert, 43, and Erin L. Dilthey, 42, both of Sedalia, were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Both Hulbert and Dilthey were booked and released on a state felony charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for having a faulty taillight at the Dairy Queen Grill N Chill, 1811 South Limit Avenue, Friday night. Upon contact with the driver, Officers smelled what they knew to be the odor of marijuana. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located three baggies of marijuana and a bottle cap that had four blue pills in it. Officers confiscated all of the items. Gianni Noel Ramos, 26, of Florissant, was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana.


 

Officers spoke with Adam E. Snyder over the phone last Friday night. Snyder wanted to report his juvenile daughter had run away. There were concerns of the juvenile female being suicidal as well. The female was last seen earlier in the day at a residence in the 600 block of East 17th Street. Snyder stated he wanted his daughter to be entered into the runaway/missing database.


 

On the evening of September 18th, Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of South New York Avenue to collect a statement from Jeannie W. Welge. Welge stated that items were stolen out of her vehicle at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, that afternoon. A list of items stolen was given, but no suspect is known at this time.


 

Friday night, Officers were dispatched to the Smokers Outlet, 1700 East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. Officers spoke with Hannah J. Rodewald, who said her skateboard was stolen while she was inside the store. No suspect is known at this time.
