Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the ACR Heating and Cooling, 1609 South Missouri Avenue, for a report of a theft. Upon arrival, Officers gathered the necessary information and generated a report. The items that were stolen were valued at approximately $500.00.


 

Sedalia Police took reports on Sunday morning in both the 3200 and 3600 blocks of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a male subject that was involved in acts of inappropriate sexual conduct. The next day, the suspect was identified and arrested at his place of residence in the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Justin R. Rogers Jr., 20, of Sedalia, was charged with Sexual Misconduct in the 1st Degree and two felony counts of Harassment in the 1st Degree. Rogers was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of theft. A suspect left the store with a cart full of unpurchased items. The suspect also pushed an employee when they went to intervene. There is video footage of the crime.


 

Officers responded to the Casey's store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard for a report of a possible domestic assault in progress Monday evening. Upon arrival, both the victim and the suspect were still on the scene. Justin R. June, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. June was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.

Monday night, a truck was stopped in in the area of West 16th Street and South Beacon Avenue because it had a headlight out. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated by drugs. The driver and the passenger were also in possession of felony amounts of drugs and misdemeanor amounts of marijuana. The driver, Ashley Nicholle Bardin, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs) Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Marijuana. The passenger, Jayden K. Admire, 18, of Sedalia, was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Marijuana. Both Bardin and Admire were placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Menard's store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, for a report of stealing Monday afternoon. When Officers arrived, they were informed by Joseph D. Palmer that earlier that morning, a white male stole a roll of wiring valued at $1,000. Another white male and a black female could be seen assisting the suspect. They left the area in a black Chevrolet Aveo. At the time of the report, the suspects had not been located for questioning.


 

On the afternoon of October 20th, Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue in regards to a call of shoplifting. Upon arrival, Officers were able to identify the suspect through photographs. Officers contacted the subject at his house. He was advised of his rights and agreed to a field interview. Clinton Tyler Clough, 34, of Sedalia, was issued a summons for Shoplifting with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police met with a victim in the Police Department lobby Monday afternoon. She reported that her boyfriend physically assaulted her in the area of East 12th Street and South Engineer Avenue, causing injury. The victim refused medical treatment at the time of the report. Officers are submitting charges against the suspect for Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree.


 

Monday night, Officers were dispatched to the area of South Grand Avenue and West Main Street in reference to a hit and run accident. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the caller. They stated they had been hit by another vehicle, and that vehicle had driven off. Using the information provided by the caller, Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and the suspect in the 500 block of Wilkerson Street. The suspect admitted to driving the vehicle, but denied not stopping. A computer check revealed the suspect had a revoked driving status and a no bond warrant from Pettis County for Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Jose Luis Matacua, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Matacua was booked on his warrant and placed on a 24 hour hold for his new charges of felony Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving While Revoked.


 

On the night of October 21st, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of South Hancock Avenue and East 3rd Street. The vehicle was failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. David Michael Reed, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the BRHC for a blood draw. Reed was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs).
