Thursday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Casey's parking lot, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard, for a vehicle defect. The driver was found to have a revoked driving status and was arrested. Enrique Serna Canseco, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked and booked in the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Sneed Avenue Thursday afternoon because it had expired registration. The driver, also the vehicle's owner, was found to be a sex offender who was not in compliance. Fredrick Ray Ledbetter, 68, of Sedalia, was arrested on felony charges of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Ledbetter was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

On the morning of September 6th, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Marvin Avenue. Officers had observed it committing a series of moving violations. Austin David Ray Pinion, 25, Homeless, was arrested for Careless and Imprudent Driving. Pinion was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Wilkerson Street in reference to a burglary report. Michael Warner stated all of his belongings were removed from a house after everyone was evicted, and the other tenants left. The estimated value of the items stolen as $2,530.00.


 

Sedalia Police were called to the Lolly's Candy Shop, 702 South Ohio Avenue, Wednesday morning for a report of property damage. Upon arrival, Officers located the graffiti the caller had mentioned. The caller stated the graffiti was written on the back door some time between Tuesday and Wednesday morning. A few minutes later, Clint Callahan reported graffiti on the back door of the Craft Beer Cellar, 700 South Ohio Avenue. This graffiti was also written on the back door in between Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue in reference to a property damage report. Joshua Blankenship stated that sometime within the last month, someone attempted to break into their back door and caused damage to it.


 

Officers took a report of property damage Thursday morning in the lobby of the Police Department. The damage occurred on May 16th of 2022. Patricia Taber stated that her estranged husband tampered with her vehicle at the Pettis County Courthouse, 415 South Ohio Avenue, while she was in court. The damage caused approximately $200 in damages.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Buckner Court for a report of property damage Thursday afternoon. Cora Ilu reported her car's window was damaged. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Police Station Lobby for a report of found property. Linda Kay Murray turned in a license plate found at the Golden Corral, 2004 West Broadway Boulevard. The registered owner to the vehicle that the plate belonged on was later located. The license plate was returned.
