On September 17th, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Break Time store, 101 Rebar Road, in reference to a theft. Officers spoke to loss prevention, who reported a theft involving a former employee which occurred in early September. Amanda Cox reported that over $800 in items had been taken from the store.


 

On the afternoon of November 8th, Sedalia Police took a theft report. Valerie Bloess reported that someone stole a metal bridge from her property in the 600 block of West 24th Street.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a green Mitsubishi Galant with no registration in the area of East 4th Street and South Brown Avenue. Officers made contact with the suspect and ran his information through Dispatch, who confirmed he had a Failure to Appear warrant out of Pettis County on original charges of Driving While Suspended. Cornelius A. Read, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Driving While Revoked, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Bond on the Failure to Appear warrant was set at $250 cash only. Read was placed on a 24 hour hold, pending the filing of state charges.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of an assault in the 1500 block of South Ohio Avenue Monday afternoon. The victim reported that he was assaulted by a person known to him.
