Sedalia Police Reports for November 28, 2023

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Casey’s store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to property damage. Officers spoke with Sebastian Blake Lamport, who said someone had damaged the windshield of his truck. Officers spoke with a witness, who said he saw the suspect striking the windshield, and then run away on foot. The witness said he chased the suspect, but the suspect got away. No arrests have been made at this time.
On the evening of November 22, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East 7th Street for a civil standby call. The caller, Michael E. Barnett, said when he moved out of the residence, he left his clothing behind. When it was not located in the apartment, he wanted to report it stolen. Barnett reported the value of the clothing at approximately $5,000. The other subject said Barnett had left with his property.
Monday night, Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Harding Avenue in reference to a property damage report. Robert D. Harrison reported someone threw an object through the back window of his trailer, damaging the window.
Early Tuesday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wisconsin Drive and Oak Grove Lane. Officers identified the driver, and found him to have a suspended driver’s license. Jonathon Bryce Holland, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended*. Holland was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.
Officers responded to the Wendy’s restaurant, 1301 South Limit Avenue Monday night in regards to found property. Officers spoke with a reporting party, who stated she located drug paraphernalia in the parking lot of the business. Officers collected the paraphernalia.
*Holland was previously convicted of Driving While Suspended in 2018, Casenet # 170037531. Since he has been previously convicted, for a second offense, that changes the charge from a Class D misdemeanor to a Class A misdemeanor — which can result in a fine of up to $2,000 and land a driver in jail for up to a year.
