Sedalia Police Reports For May 5, 2023

Thrusday night, an Officer responded to the McDonald’s restaurant, 3101 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a disturbance involving a weapon. Officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated an individual confronted him in the parking lot and pointed a gun at him. Officers located the suspect a short time later, and he was found to have a Parole Violation warrant from the state of Texas. Anthony T. Donihoo, 23, of Sherman Texas, was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Concealable Weapon, and his Fugitive from Justice warrant. Donihoo was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held with no bond.
Sedalia Police responded to the 1200 block of West 20th Street in reference to an unresponsive female Thursday night. Officers arrived on scene and found the female subject to be deceased inside the reisdence. PCAD confirmed the death, and the Pettis County Coroner was contacted. The female subject was transported to an unnamed funeral home.
On the evening of April 24th, Officers performed a traffic stop on a silver Dodge SUV in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and East Hancock Avenue. The stop was performed because the Officer recognized the driver to have a revoked Missouri driver’s license. Officers spoke to the driver and performed a check with Dispatch. The driver’s status was confirmed, which the driver was aware of. Chrissy Ann Donaldson, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked, but was released on scene with a court date.
Officers performed a traffic stop on a green Ford Explorer early Thursday morning in the area of West 6th Street and South Grand Avenue. The stop was conducted because the vehicle had an unreadable rear license plate, and it was speeding wile travelling westbound onto West 16th Street. Officers spoke to the driver and performed a check with Dispatch. The driver’s status was confirmed and he was arrested for felony charges of Driving While Revoked. Terry G. Doyle Sr., 49, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the 1700 block of West 18th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim sustained minor injury and refused medical treatment. Charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree are being requested against the suspect.
Wednesday afternoon, Mary D. Branson reported to Sedalia Police that someone had passed a bad check. The check was used to purchase items from an Estate Auction at the Missouri State Fair Grounds on April 22nd. The check was deposited into the complainant’s account, and it was later determined the funds were not sufficient.
Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of West Pettis Avenue for a report of a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, all subjects involved in the disturbance were interviewed. They were all found to have minor injuries. No primary physical aggressor could be determined. The incident was noted in a 12 hour log.
Officer made contact with Nicole Lynne Spellmeyer in the Police Department lobby Wednesday morning regarding fraud. Spellmeyer stated someone had used her Cash App to take money from her account. The investigation is on going.
Holly Sands spoke to SPD in the lobby Thursday morning about her vehicle being egged. The vehicle was parked on the roadway in the 2200 block of West 3rd Street. The vehicle has been egged twice in the last two days. Officers completed a report for documentation.
