Monday evening, Officers responded to the Missouri State Fairgrounds for a report of property damage. When Officers arrived, contact was made with grounds security. They stated that a window was broken. After investigation, it was found that someone had thrown a large brick through the window of the building. There are no suspects at the time of the report.


 

Monday night, Officers responded to Central Bank, 400 West Broadway Boulevard, for subject reportedly sleeping in the ATM line. Officers performed standardized field sobriety tests on the subject and determined he was driving while intoxicated. The subject was also driving on a revoked license. Darren Alexander Morey, 26, of Sedalia, was taken to the BRHC for a blood draw and a fit for confinement check. Morey was then transported to the Pettis County Jail on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Revoked, and Possession of Marijuana.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Factory Connection, 2915 West Broadway Boulevard, for a possible physical disturbance in progress Monday evening. Upon arrival, it was determined the disturbance did not turn physical. The subject in question was not located, and a report was taken.


 

On the afternoon of May 16th, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a car near West 4th Street and South Missouri Avenue for improper registration. Contact was made with the occupants, and the odor of marijuana was smelled coming from the vehicle. A check through Dispatch showed the passenger had an active City of Sedalia Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Possession of Marijuana. Darius D. Douglas, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant. A search of the vehicle found marijuana, which was seized for destruction, but no charges were filed. Douglas was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $60 cash only bond.


 

Officers were performing a nuisance ordinance follow-up in the 400 block of North Mill on the afternoon of May 16th. A subject outside of the residence was recognized as having a warrant for their arrest. A computer check through Dispatch showed the subject had three active Pettis County warrants. Two Failure to Appear warrants were on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without A Valid License, and one felony Failure to Appear warrant was on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Mose Kenneth Watson, 45, of Sedalia, was arrested on his warrants and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked pending a total bond of $10,305.


 

On the morning of May 12th, Officers were performing business and area checks near the area of West 16th Street and South Thompson Boulevard as part of a problem oriented policing operation. Three males were seen walking in the area. When Officers went to make contact with the subjects, they began to run. Officers walked through the area and made contact with two of the subjects. The third subject could be seen inside a residence and was believed to have active warrants. Officers were able to get the subject to exit the house and he was arrested. Deandre A. Willis, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrants for Resisting Arrest, Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree, and felony Property Damage in the 1st Degree, as well as a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Property Damage in the 2nd Degree. Total bond for Willis was set at $7,000.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a report of a verbal disturbance between neighbors. A general information report has been completed to document the incident. No charges are being requested at the time of the report.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a truck in the 1900 block of West Main Street for failing to maintain its lane. Contact was made with the driver, and a check through Dispatch showed the driver had an active no bond Benton County warrant on charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Sandra Ann Fitzwater, 66, of Lincoln, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.


 

Sedalia Police performed a subject check in the 700 block of Wilkerson Street last Thursday afternoon. A check through Dispatch showed the subject had an active City of Sedalia warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Possession of Marijuana. Bleasy Marisol Rodriguez, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked with a $400 cash only bond.


 

Officers responded to the 1100 block of East 11th Street last Thursday afternoon for a report of a disturbance. Officers made contact with all parties involved, and there was no primary physical aggressor identified. A 12 hour log was started for the subjects involved, and one subject left the residence to cool the situation down. No arrests were made.


 

On the afternoon of May 16th, Officers conducted a subject check in the 400 block of South Grand Avenue. Several children were located in the home with unsanitary conditions and drug activity. A hotline call was made to the Children's Division.


 

Officers initiated a traffic stop on a box truck near the 3600 block of West Broadway Boulevard last Wednesday evening for a defective brake light. A check through Dispatch showed the driver had a suspended license. The driver's license was seized and he was released from the scene.


 

On the afternoon of May 9th, Officers initiated at traffic stop on a truck near the Woods supermarket, 701 East Broadway Boulevard for a defective brake light. The driver consented to a search of his truck, and three marijuana pipes were found. The items were seized for destruction and no charges were pursued.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Bristol Lane for a report of a domestic disturbance. When Officers arrived, they spoke with both parties involved. Their names were checked with Dispatch, who informed Officers the female had a misdemeanor Failure to Appear warrant from Johnson County on original charges of Speeding. Carla P. Aquirre, 29 of Sedalia, was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was held pending a $100 cash only bond.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers responded to the 200 block of East 13th Street for a report of found property. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with Timothy C. Welch. Welch stated he found a replica firearm near the garage at the residence. The item was collected and placed into evidence.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1800 block of South Beacon Avenue Monday morning for a report of property damage. Upon arrival, Officers spoke to Kimberly D. Hagan. Hagan stated that she noticed damage to her vehicle that was not there the previous day.


 

Officers responded to the 600 block of South Missouri Avenue for a report of theft Monday morning. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Randy Ernest Baker. Baker stated someone attempted to steal parts from his vehicle.


 

Saturday morning, Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Lamine Avenue in reference to a burglary. Steven A. DeMasters stated that sometime during the overnight hours, someone forced open an exterior basement door and made entry. Nothing appeared to be amiss within the basement.


 

Sunday evening, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Grand Avenue for a report of a multiple vehicle hit and run accident. Upon arriving, the suspect vehicle had struck two parked cars and another vehicle that was in the roadway. The suspect vehicle was located a short time later by the MSHP, where a short vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspect vehicle eventually stopped, and the driver was arrested by the MSHP.
