Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Timothy Ryan Barrett of Sedalia at 7th and Brown Monday morning at 1:27 a.m. after making contact with a driver parked in a no-parking zone. A computer check revealed that Barrett was wanted on a Benton County warrant. A search of Barrett yielded methamphetamine. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, where he was booked on the warrant, and awaiting charges on meth possession.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 16th and Engineer at 1:50 a.m. Monday on a vehicle for careless and imprudent driving. An investigation revealed that Carmen Talavera-Sebastian of Sedalia had allowed her 13-year-old daughter to drive the car, because Talavera-Sebastian was intoxicated. Talavera-Sebastian, a passenger, was taken into custody and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Her one-year-old and eight-year-old were also in the car. Arrangements were made to transport the children home.


On Sunday at 10:20 p.m., Sedalia Police took a report in the lobby reference an assault that occurred earlier in the day near 10th and Kentucky. The victim said the assailant bit her on the arm, which clearly left a mark, according to the report. The suspect, 22-year-old Dylan Brooks Clark of Sedalia, was later located, arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges for 3rd degree domestic assault.


On Sunday at 7:25 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near East Saline and New York. Following an investigation, the driver, 52-year-old William C. Mulcrone of Sedalia, was arrested for driving while revoked. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1100 block of East 6th Sunday at 9:22 p.m. on a domestic disturbance. The victim said they were spit on by the suspect. The suspect denied doing that. A subsequent search revealed that the suspect, 28-year-old Brandon Lee Motley of Sedalia, was in possession of an unlawful weapon. Motley was taken inot custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. He was charged with 4th degree assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.


 

On Sunday at 12:56 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to maintain its lane, near 12th and Broadway. A computer check revealed that driver was revoked. The driver was also suspected of driving while intoxicated. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana. 46-year-old Damiean Erickson of St. Joseph, was charged with possession of a dangerous drug, driving while suspended or revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated (aggravated offender) and possession of marijuana. The passenger, 55-year-old Mona R. Cowick of St. Joseph, was also arrested. She was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana. Both were transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold.


 

On Sunday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to an injury accident near Broadway and Grand. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that had traveled off the south side of Broadway and struck a tree. The Sedalia Fire Department extracted 39-year-old William A. Savage from the vehicle while PCAD attended to his medical needs. Savage suffered serious injuries, and was transported by PCAD to University Hospital in Columbia. Police are asking anyone with information on the accident to contact Cpl. Andrew Silvey at (660) 827-7283, ext 1230.


 

On Sunday at 11:17 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 200 block of South Harrison for a domestic disturbance. According to both parties, a brief physical altercation took place at the residence. Police were unable to determine a primary physical aggressor. Both subjects separated and left the area. A 12-hour log was completed to document the incident.


 

On Sunday, Sedalia Police took a report of found property in the 1300 block of W. 4th. The owner of the property was notified that the property was at the SPD, but was unable to retrieve it due to the person being incarcerated. The items were placed into found property.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a burglary in progress at 622 E. 10th on Saturday at 1:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect inside the residence. 30-year-old Martavious K. Thomas was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was charged with 2nd degree burglary. Thomas was also wanted on a Pettis County warrant with a $5,000 cash or surety bond.


 

On Sunday, Sedalia Police took a report of found property at 4th and Hancock. The reporting party said that while she was walking her dog, she found a box that she believed to be a monitoring device. The box was placed into evidence.


Sedalia Police responded to a possible disturbance Saturday night at 10:07 p.m. near Buckner Court. Officers made contact with both parties. One of them, 44-year-old Eric Brian Fisk of Sedalia, was wanted on a Howell County warrant with a $7500 cash or surety bond. Fisk was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted an area check at Liberty Park, 1500 E. 3rd, at 3 a.m. Sunday. A subject was located in the park. A computer check revealed that 21-year-old Caitlyn S. Siron of Sedalia, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for forgery. Siron was arrested and found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Bond on the warrant was $400 cash only. Siron was taken to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold.


 

On Sunday around 3 a.m., Sedalia Police took a theft report from Bart Colliver, who said that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his cell phone, a pack of cigarettes and clip-on sunglasses while his vehicle was parked at the Moose Lodge, 119 Winchester Drive. The theft occurred between 9 and 11 p.m. Saturday night.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Highway M on a vehicle for moving violations at 1:56 a.m. Sunday. A computer check revealed that the driver, 44-year-old Kevin Scott Williams of Pettis County, was driving while revoked. Williams was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance at 3rd and Montgomery at 8:18 p.m. Friday. According to a report, a female was being assaulted by an unknown subject who she picked up from the side of the road. Investigation revealed the allegation was proven false by help from a witness. No charges were filed.


 

On Saturday at 4:27 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near 9th and Prospect after the license on the car was suspected to be stolen. A comptuer check revealed that the driver, 40-year-old Justin A. Stone of Sedalia, was wanted on a Douglas County warrant and a Pettis County warant. In addition, Stone was found to be driving whlie revoked. Stone denied any knowledge that the plate was stolen. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Stone was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail and booked on the two warrants ($10,000 cash or surety and $1500 cash-only bond) and charged with driving while revoked, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no tail lights illuminated at Broadway and Grand at 9:23 p.m. Saturday. A computer check revealed that the driver, 33-year-old Alyssa Marie Molina of Sedalia, was driving while suspended. Molina was arrested and taken to the SPD, where she was fingerprinted and released with a City citation for driving while suspended.


 

On May 12 at 4:18 a.m., an SPD officer was flagged down a Casey's employee at 716 W. 16th on a subject sleeping in his car for three hours. Te officer woke the male subject up, and a computer check revealed that 27-year-old Charles C. Edwards, homeless, of Sedalia, was wanted on a probation and parole warrant. Edwards was also found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Edwards was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle near 20th and Grand Saturday at 9:55 p.m. A computer check revealed that the driver, 37-year-odl Katie M. McMullin of Sedalia, was driving while suspended. McMullin was arrested and transported to the SPD, where she was later released with a citation.


 

On Saturday at 10:06 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to Buckner Court for a domestic disturbance. Both parties sustained minor injuries, but refused treatment. Following an investigation, a primary physical aggressor was determined and arrested for 2nd degree domestic assault and transported to the Pettis County Jail. 40-year-old Stephanie M. Hernandez was placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a black GMC SUV with an expired temp tag at Broadway and Park on Friday at 10:35 p.m. A computer check revealed that the driver, 41-year-old Brian Keith Mumby of Sedalia, was driving while suspended. Mumby was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
On Friday morning around 10:25 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to Liberty Park, 1500 W. 3rd, for an assault that had just taken place. Two subjects attacked two other subjects with a baseball bat, seemingly without provocation. The victims and three witnesses were able to provide officers with a description of the suspects.


 

On Friday, someone turned in an envelope they found at Thompson Hills Shopping Center. The envelope contained ID cards, several debit cards, and two health insurance cards. An unsuccessful attempt was made to contact the owner. The items were placed into evidence.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle at 32nd and Limit Friday at 11:01 a.m. A computer check revealed that the driver, 64-year-old Steve Conley of Sedalia, was wanted on a Cass County warrant. Conley received a warning for speeding, but was taken to the Pettis County Jail once a family member arrived to drive the vehicle away. Conley was held pending the posting of a $4,000 bond.


 

On Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police took a report from a man who said that someone attempted to use their personal information to try and claim unemployment benefits from the State of Missouri. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.


 

Sedalia Police took a missing person report Friday in the 600 block of Wilkerson. The person was residing in the 700 block of W, 3rd, according to the report, and might have left town for Kansas City. The person was entered in the system as missing.


 

On May 3, Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report on an incident that occurred at 6th and Missouri. The victim and witness stated that a red Dodge Charger was driving erratically and sideswiped a parked car, sliding the car aroujnd 180 degrees, and taking off in the other direction. The vehicle and suspect were not located at the time of the report.


 

On Friday afternoon, an SPD officer made contact with 48-year-old Brian Edward Phillips of Holt's Summit while he was at the End Zone, 3129 W. Broadway. A computer check revealed that Phillips was wanted on a Callaway County warrant. He was taken into custody, and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was held on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a speeding blue Ford F-250 traveling west on Broadway at South Park Friday at 8:40 a.m. Friday. The vehicle was stopped at Broadway and Beacon. The officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the truck. The driver then handed the officer a roach that he admitted to attempting to toss while he was being stopped. A probable cause search yielded a lunch box with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 23-year-old David Lynn Sutton of Sedalia was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, pending the filing of charges for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia (glass pipe and marijuana grinder).


 

Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report Friday at 32nd and Limit. According to the report, while driving north on Limit, the complainant's trailer was hit from behind by another vehicle. There was no damage to the vehicle, but when he checked later, he found a license plate laying on his trailer. Contact information could not be located for the striking vehicle. The plate was placed into evidence.


 

On Saturday at 7:40 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 603 South Moniteau for a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the subjects involved and a computer check revealed that one of them, 23-year-old James Lee Robinett, was wanted on a Lafayette County failure to appear warrant, with a $2,500 cash-only bond. Robinett was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Friday evening at 9:19 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to Panera Bread, 3175 W. Broadway, for a traffic complaint. 64-year-old David S.Huff of Sedalia, was arrested for driving while intoxicated persistent offender, and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

On Friday evening at 7:55 p.m. at Casey's, 3050 South Limit, Sedalia Police responded to a report of two dogs fighting. The owner of one of the dogs was on scene and secured her animal. The untagged animal was taken to the Sedalia Animal Shelter.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a subject check Saturday at 1:12 a.m. near 3rd and Marvin. It was determined that the subject, 22-year-old Jonathon Bryce Holland, homeless, was unable to care for himself and not able to call any family members to come look after him. Holland was placed on a safekeeping 12-hour hold, pending release to a sober party.


 

Late Friday morning, Sedalia Police observed two people walking in the area of 4th and Emmet. A computer check of one of them revealed that 32-year-old Tiffany M. Morrill of Warsaw was wanted on two warrants – one was failure to appear on a non-moving violation and the other was for possession of dangerous drugs -- both out of Benton County. Once the warrants were confirmed, Morrill was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Total bond was set at $10,100.
