Sedalia Police Reports For March 3, 2023

Thursday night, Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue for a report of a trespassing in progress. Officers arrived and made contact with the suspect, who had been trespassed from a business in the area. Mario Alberto Madrid, 40, Homeless, was arrested for Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Madrid was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Osage Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard last Monday morning. During the stop, Officers learned the driver was suspended. Evante Lamar Maltbia, 28, of St Joseph, was issued a citation for Driving While Suspended.
Wednesday night, Officers took a report of a stolen dog. Erin Obie reported the dog was stolen from the 500 block of South Barrett Avenue in January of 2023. Suspect information has been gathered but no contact has been made with them at this time.
Thursday afternoon, Officers conducted a vehicle stop in the area of West 5th Street and South Grand Avenue. Officers made contact with the driver, checked his information with Dispatch, and confirmed he had a revoked driving status. Paul Averbeck, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Averbeck was transported to the Pettis County jail to be booked and released.
Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of East 6th Street to investigate the theft of a package Thursday morning. Upon arrival, Officers met with Melissa Withrow. Withrow stated a package she had ordered was delivered on the morning of March 1st, but the package was no longer on her doorstep when she returned home. The package is valued at $177. There are no suspects at this time.
Thursday afternoon, Officers spoke with Alyssa Platt on the phone in reference to a stolen license plate. Platt stated the rear license plate was stolen from her vehicle sometime recently from the 900 block of South Missouri Avenue.
Officers met with Amanda Arnold in the Police Department lobby Wednesday afternoon. Arnold stated that sometime between February 22nd and March 1st, someone entered her storage unit. The unit is located at 900 North Normandy Road. Approximately $1200 worth of items were stolen from the unit. There are no suspects at this time.
Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to the Sacred Heart School in reference to property damage. The complainant stated someone damaged one of the school buses. There is no suspect information at this time.
Thursday morning, while on patrol, Officers located a subject who they believed had a Pettis Count Warrant for their arrest. Officers made contact with the subject in the 1700 block of East Broadway. Dispatch confirmed they had a Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Stealing and Forgery. Wayne R. Archambault, 45, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond was set at $2000 cash and $2500 surety.
Early Friday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Main Street and South Missouri Avenue. An investigation resulted in the arrest of one female suspect for driving while suspended. Kendra Lavatta Jordan, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended, booked and released.
