Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident. Upon arrival, Officers met with the victim, who stated he was involved in a motor vehicle accident with another vehicle. The vehicle left the scene without providing information. There were no injuries, and the suspect vehicle has not been identified at this time.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 700 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of a missing person Wednesday evening. Contact was made with Lindsey Jones, who reported that a female subject was missing.


 

Officers responded to the 2700 block of South Grand Avenue Wednesday evening in reference to a suicide attempt. Officers made contact with a male juvenile that ingested a large quantity of pills. The subject was treated and transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center by the parents.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers initiated a welfare check on a subject stumbling on the sidewalk in the area of East 7th Street and South Emmet Avenue. A check through Dispatch showed the subject had an active City of Sedalia warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Stealing with a $100 cash only bond. Nancy W. Fowler, 34, of Warsaw, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.


 

Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on an SUV near East 2nd Street and South Lamine Avenue for expired registration Wednesday afternoon. The driver said the plates had remained on the vehicle when she bought it from the previous owner. The license plates were seized to be sent to the Missouri Department of Revenue. No charges were sought on the driver.


 

Officers responded to the 500 block of West Jefferson Street Wednesday afternoon for a possible domestic situation. Upon arrival, it was discovered an incident had occurred. Neither of the subjects were injured. A primary aggressor could not be determined and no charges are being requested at this time.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department to take a theft report. Max A. Diaz reported that the front license plate of his truck was stolen on Monday in the 2200 block of South Ingram Avenue. The license plate was entered as stolen. A theft report was taken, and an investigation is ongoing.


 

On the evening of February 22nd, a search warrant was executed at 1317 South Carr Avenue. During the search, detectives located marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other items that indicated marijuana was being distributed from the location. The location is within 2000 feet of a school zone. Nicholas Huerta, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested pending charges of Distribution of a Controlled Substance Within 2000 feet of a School, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
