Sedalia Police Reports For March 29, 2023

Sedalia Police took a theft report from Miguel Lopez Tuesday evening. Lopez reported that someone stole the bumper off of his vehicle with the license plate attached while it was parked in the 1000 block of South Grand Avenue. There is no suspect information in the report.

Tuesday evening, Officers were on patrol when they observed a subject with a revoked driver's license operating a motor vehicle. Contact was made in the 1300 block of Walker Circle. Lyoniel Jack Meyers Jr., 68, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Revoked. Meyers was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

Sedalia Police responded to the Break Time store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a warrant check Tuesday morning. Officers made contact with a male subject inside the business who had an active Parole Violation warrant on original charges of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Brandon William Hall, 37, of Kansas City, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked with no bond.

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 400 block of East 2nd Street in reference to a report of possible trespassing. The owner of the residence had located two subjects sleeping inside that were not supposed to be at the residence. Officers were able to locate the subjects, and initially, both were detained. It was later determined that one of the subjects was led to believe they were allowed to be at the residence. That subject was released. The other subject, Travis W. Richey, 40, Homeless, was arrested for trespassing. Richey was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and Suboxone*. Richey was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of a Synthetic Narcotic, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Richey was placed on a 24 hour hold.

Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of West 7th Street Monday afternoon in reference to a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was later discovered to have been reported as stolen. The vehicle was recovered, the reporting agency was notified, and a report was made.
