Sunday evening, a truck was stopped near West Broadway Boulevard and South Park Avenue for moving violations. The driver was intoxicated. Josue Daniel Aleman Ceron, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Ceron was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Sunday night, Officers responded to the 1400 block of East 9th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. When Officers arrived, an investigation was conducted regarding two subjects involved. No primary aggressor could be determined, and a 12 hour log was created.


 

Sunday night, Officers responded to the 1400 block of East 13th Street for a report of shots fired. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 2500 block of Kay Avenue early Monday morning for a report of property damage. Juana Rojas reported an unknown subject threw alcohol bottles through the front window of her residence. A window and piece of furniture were damaged and valued at $350 total.


 

Officers responded to the 1400 block of South Vermont Avenue Sunday evening for a report of a burglary. A suspect description was obtained with the assistance of a security camera, which also indicated the direction of travel. The SPD's K9 Unit Rocky was deployed for a track, heading south from the residence. During the track, the suspect was located a block to the south and was taken into custody without incident. After an investigation of the scene, it was determined entry was made into the residence by force. However, the suspect departed without stealing any items. Cody Austin Harvey, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested for Trespassing in the 1st Degree, and Property Damage in the 2nd Degree.

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue after it disobeyed a stop sign and nearly collided into the Officer's vehicle. The vehicle also had expired temporary tags. The driver was intoxicated and placed under arrest. Nathan Patrick Bone, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, and booked in at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sunday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop at East 3rd Street and South Ohio Avenue because the vehicle did not have any headlights on. It was discovered the driver had an active Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County on original charges of Speeding (20-25 MPH). Allison Marie Payne, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on her warrant, pending a cash only bond of $240.50.


 

On the evening of March 14th, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 2200 block of South Grand Avenue. Lindsay Deann Brown, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Brown was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold. Five days later, Sedalia Police responded to the End Zone Bar and Grill for a disturbance (Sunday afternoon). An investigation led to the arrest of a female. Brown was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree, Violation of a Full Order of Protection, and Possession of a Synthetic Narcotic. Brown was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of trespassing. On arrival, contact was made with the subject. Nikolay Zhelezoglo, 77, of Sedalia, was arrested for Trespassing in the 1st Degree.


 

Early Sunday morning, a car was stopped for moving violations and indicators of impaired driving in the 100 block of East Broadway Boulevard. The driver was intoxicated. Dmitriy Makovsky, 30, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and taken to the Police Department for processing. Makovksy refused to submit to a breath sample. A search warrant was executed and blood was collected. Makovksy was taken to the Pettis County Jail. He was booked in on a 12 hour protective custody hold along with state charges of Driving While Intoxicated.


 

Sedalia Police were investigating a possible shot fired near East 15th Street and South New York Avenue when they contacted two subjects near Broadway and New York. One of the subjects was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Green County for Failure to Appear on original charges of Non Support of a Minor Child. During the search of the subject's person, an item related to drug activity was found. Bradley A. Lee, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant and a new charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond on the warrant was set at $500.


 

Friday night, Officers stopped a blue Honda at East 4th Street and South Wagner Avenue because it had no license plate lights. A DOR check revealed the driver had no license. Fernando Mendez Jimenez, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released on a state charge of Driving Without a License.


 

Saturday morning, a car was stopped at the Shell Station, 1722 West Broadway Boulevard. The license plate was not fixed as to not swing, and the tail lights were defective. The driver was found to be intoxicated by a combination of drugs and alcohol. Cody Gage Evans, 24, of Marshall, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Evans was transported to the Pettis County jail to be booked and released, while his blood was entered into evidence pending analysis at the MSHP crime lab.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 800 block of West 16th Street for a report of a motor vehicle collision Saturday evening. No injuries were reported, and all parties were identified. The driver of on one of the vehicles was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without A Valid License and Failing to Provide Proof of Insurance. Edy Lopez Lopez, 19, of Sedalia, was processed at the Police Headquarters and released with a court date.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched for reports of a suspicious subject in the 300 block of East Harvey Street. The subject was observed behind a neighbor's residence and was believed to be breaking into the residence. Upon arrival, the subject had departed the area.


 

Friday morning, Officers responded to the 400 block of East 4th Street for a warrant check. On arrival, Officers met with the subject. A check with Dispatch confirmed him to have an active Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County on original charges of Assault in the 4th Degree and Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Jeffery Lee Waters, 58, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, with bond set at $750 cash only.


 

Friday evening, a subject came into the lobby of the Police Department with property found in the 100 block of West 24th Street. The property owner was unable to be determined, and was secured in the property room for safekeeping.


 

Officers responded to the BRHC ER for a report of an animal bite late Friday night. Crystal Luke reported she was attacked by a stray cat while outside of her residence in the 2400 block of Greenwood Lane earlier that day. Luke sustained injury to both hands, as well as her head. She was treated at BRHC for her injuries.


 

Late Friday night, Officers were contacted by Sam B. Jones regarding a theft from his motor vehicle. This theft occurred in the 3100 block of Katy Trail Avenue. Jones reported a bag containing soccer equipment for a young child was stolen. The value of the equipment was set at $500.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 700 block of East 5th Street Friday morning for a report of a physical disturbance. Upon arriving, contact was made with everyone involved. It was determined they were in a romantic relationship, and a primary physical aggressor was able to be determined. Brandon L. Koch, 39, Homeless, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Koch was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.
