Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the 990 block of Winchester Drive in reference to property damage. A window had been damaged. Officers were unable to make contact with the owner to assess the damage. At this time, a general information report was made.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the parking lot of the Break Time store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard Wednesday night. The driver was found to have a city of Sedalia Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving With No Operator's License. Welson C. Esau, 35 of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on the warrant, with bond set at $50 cash.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop Wednesday night in the area of West 16th Street and South Osage Avenue. The driver was found to have a revoked driving status through Missouri. Juan Melendez Ayalo, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Wednesday night, Officers located four juveniles at the Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street, smoking marijuana. The marijuana was confiscated for destruction, parents were contacted, and the juveniles were released. No charges will be sought.


 

On the afternoon of March 13th, an Officer was dispatched to the Break Time store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft report. The suspect was identified and shown to be trespassed from the store. State charges of Burglary and Stealing were referred to the state prosecutor.

Sedalia Police met with Gary Cline in the lobby of the Police Department Wednesday afternoon in reference to a theft. Cline stated that while his car was parked at the Jim's Express, 200 Winchester Drive, someone entered it and stole items. The suspect had also damaged the interior while rummaging through it. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation in the area of East 13th Street and South Summit Avenue. During the course of the stop, both the female driver and the male passenger were identified to Dispatch and both were discovered to have active warrants. Jazzmyn Javonah Clark, 21, of Sedalia, had a felony Failure to Appear warrant from Cole County on original charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance into A Jail Facility and Stealing. Brandon Thomas Kerr, 40, of Kansas City, had an active Pettis County warrant for Non Support of a Child. Both subjects were transported to the Pettis County Jail. Clark was given a $5,000 cash or surety bond, and Kerr was given a bond of $610.00 cash only.


 

On March 9th, Sedalia Police took a report of child abuse that was originally reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office. After an interview with the suspect on the afternoon of March 15th, the suspect was arrested. Kristy D. White, 38, of Sedalia, was placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Abuse or Neglect of a Child.


 

Early Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of South Vermont Avenue and West Main Street in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle crash. The driver fled from the scene. The car, which impacted a fire hydrant, was towed from the scene.
