Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of East 10th Street in reference to a missing juvenile. Brandon Bom reported that overnight, their juvenile daughter had left the residence without permission. The juvenile was later located at an address in Pettis County by Deputies.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West 7th Street and South Quincy Avenue Tuesday morning. A probable cause search of the vehicle located a small amount of marijuana, which was seized for destruction.


 

Officers were dispatched to the LeMaire's Seafood restaurant, 3500 West Broadway Boulevard Tuesday morning for a report of a theft. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the owner of the restaurant. She stated that on Monday evening, she was notified that her gumball machine was on Facebook. The surveillance video was checked at the restaurant, and it was on video being taken by a suspect on Sunday. The restaurant owner estimated the machine to be valued at $500. Officers recognized the suspect and his vehicle in the video. Officers contacted a Pettis County Sheriff's Deputy, and they went to the suspect's address. When contact was made with the suspect, he was informed of his Miranda rights. He stated he understood. During the interview, the suspect admitted to taking the gumball machine. He stated he thought it was trash. Officers then took Brandon J. Miller, 39, of Sedalia, into custody for Stealing (3rd Offense). Miller was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West 9th Street and South Harrison Avenue. Adrien J. Crutchfield, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested on two counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana. Crutchfield was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold pending state charges.


 

Monday evening, Officers performed a subject check at the Econolodge, 3501 West Broadway Boulevard. Suzanna Donovan wanted to report a theft that happened on March 6th in the 400 block of East Howard Street. Information was gathered, and two suspect names were given. No contact has been made with the suspects at this time.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of East 16th Street in reference to a burglary Tuesday evening. Jessica Dieckman reported that between the afternoon of Sunday March 13th and Tuesday evening, an unknown person forced their way into the home. Tools were stolen that were valued at $800 and copper wire valued at $500 was stolen.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers observed a suspect outside of a home in the 400 block of West 16th Street. The suspect had two active warrants out of Pettis County. Officers made contact with the suspect and confirmed the warrants with Dispatch. James A. Byerly, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Probation Violation warrants on original charges of Identity Theft, felony Stalking, and felony Violation of an Order of Protection (2nd Offense). Byerly was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

On the morning of March 11th, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East 10th Street and South Thompson Avenue for a license violation. An occupant of the vehicle had an active warrant and was arrested. Chrissy Ann Donaldson, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Stealing with bond set at $60 cash only.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue for a license violation last Thursday night. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a syringe. Thomas Lloyd Easterberg, 58, of Houstonia, was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East 17th Street to make contact with a subject who had an active 96-hour hold order. The Pettis County Sheriff's Department requested that SPD Officers try to serve the order on the subject. Officers made contact with the subject and ran her information through Dispatch, confirming the 96-hour papers that needed to be served. Savannah H. Halferty, 25, of Sedalia, was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Halferty remained pending transfer to a mental health facility.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers were sent to the Phillips 66, 216 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to found property. Kennetha Haulcy reported she had found a phone belonging to a customer. Haulcy attempted to reach the owner, but was not successful. Officers attempted to return the phone to the owner, without success. As of March 15th, the owner had not come to the Police Station to retrieve his phone.
