Late Thursday night, a truck was stopped in the area of West 18th Street and South Quincy Avenue because it did not have license plates. The driver was under the influence of drugs. James Wesley Cramer, 35, of Warsaw, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Cramer was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in pending release to a sober person.


 

Sedalia Police took a theft report that occurred at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard Thursday evening. The theft took place on the morning of June 21st. The suspect is known at the time of the report, and charges are being sought for Burglary in the 1st Degree and Stealing.


 

Officers observed a sex offender driving in the area of South Garfield Street and East 6th Street Thursday night, while conducting an investigation into a separate incident. A check of the sex offender revealed he was operating a vehicle he had not registered on his sex offender registry. Further investigation revealed documented history of this with the subject. Four state charges of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender are being requested on the unnamed subject.

Sunday night, Officers observed a subject driving in the area of West 15th Street and South Vermont Avenue. The subject was suspected of driving on a suspended license. The driver was stopped, identified, and it was revealed he had a suspended Missouri driving license. Jake Dewayne Jensen, 23, of Otterville, was arrested and released with a municipal citation for Driving While Suspended.


 

Thursday morning, Officers took a report over the phone from Erika D. Thomas. Thomas stated she had left her wallet in a shopping cart outside the store. The wallet was missing when she returned to collect it. At the the time of the report, a suspect has not been located.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 100 block of South Quincy Avenue in reference to a disturbance from a male subject on the property. Through the investigation, the male was identified, and he was known by the homeowner. Cesareo A. Canti, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested for Safekeeping due to the level of his intoxication. Canti was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold.
