Tuesday evening, Officers responded to the area of West 5th Street and South Grand Avenue for a female screaming. After an investigation, the female was located in the 500 block of South Grand Avenue. She was intoxicated and it was determined that her screaming was not due to an assault or crime against her. She was given a warning for peace disturbance. While Officers were outside, the female threw a hammer through the window at them in an apparent attempt to cause serious physical injury. Allison Marie Wood, 33, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest, transported to the hospital for a fit for confinement check, and then to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on a 24 hour hold. Charges are being requested for Assault in the 1st Degree on Law Enforcement, Armed Criminal Action, and Property Damage in the 2nd Degree.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the intersection of South Wagner and East 14th Street Tuesday afternoon in regard to a hit and run accident which had recently occurred. The damage was estimated to have occurred within an hour of the Police being called and was estimated to cost $1,200 to repair. The victim, Jason Eickhoff, stated that he would like to pursue charges.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Station to make contact with Briony H. Hogg, who wanted to report the windshield of her mother's vehicle being damaged. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Hogg. She stated that sometime overnight, someone shot what looked to be a BB at the windshield of the vehicle, cracking it. Officers took photos of the damage and attached them to the report. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Tuesday morning, Erin Bratton came to the lobby of the Sedalia Police Department to turn in a wallet that had been found in the parking lot of Landman Title, 111 West 3rd Street. While an ID was found in the wallet, no contact information was found for the owner and the listed address was outside of the state of Missouri. The wallet was placed into Found Property.


 

On the afternoon of June 16, Officers were dispatched to the South Woodlawn Avenue in regard to an incident of sex abuse which had occurred 28 years ago on East 9th Street.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Ohio Avenue for a report of a stolen license plate Tuesday morning. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Sara E. Harms. Harms stated that sometime earlier that morning, someone stole the front license plate from her vehicle. Photos of the scene were taken and attached to the report. There are no suspects at this time.
