Early Sunday morning, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue on a vehicle Officers observed speeding. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Jessica Yasmine Quetzecua, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Quetzecua was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she provided a breath sample that showed her BAC to be above 0.08. Quetzecua was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released to a sober driver.


 

Tuesday night, Officers responded to the Motel 6, 3402 West Broadway Boulevard. Phoenix Jordan Wilson reported a dog bite. Officers arrived, information was collected, and a report was completed.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1900 block of South Brown Avenue for a report of theft. When Officers arrived Tuesday evening, contact was made with Brittany Parish. Parish stated that early that morning, her utility trailer was stolen. Information was collected and a report was completed. The trailer was entered into MULES and NCIC as stolen.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 3rd Street and South Limit Avenue early Tuesday morning. The vehicle was failing to maintain its lane. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Joel E. Dake, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Dake was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Dake was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released to a sober driver.

Tuesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 400 block of Wilkerson Street in reference to a theft. Jimmie Curry reported two German Shepherd dogs were stolen from the residence. The value of the dogs was estimated to be approximately $3000. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Monday night, Officers conducted a joint investigation with the Missouri Department of Social Services regarding a report of alleged abuse of a child on McAnally Court. Officers and DSS met with the family for the investigation, and a report was completed.


 

Sedalia Police observed a tan Ford Fusion run the stop sign at West 16th and South Kentucky Avenue Monday evening. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at West 16th Street and South Moniteau Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a suspended driving status. Robert D. Anderson, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Anderson was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Early Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court in reference to a disturbance. As Officers arrived, some of the parties attempted to leave the area. Officers located a male on Veteran's Memorial Drive, east of Scott Joplin Court. Officers contacted the male, who was found to be in possession of small amount of marijuana. He was also in possession of a firearm that he claimed belonged to a resident of the house. Officers seized the gun and placed it into evidence for safekeeping. The marijuana was also placed into evidence for destruction.


 

Officers responded to the 700 block of East 24th Street Monday afternoon for a report of assault. On arrival, Officers spoke with the victim, who reported he was assaulted by his father. The victim had visible injury, but refused medical treatment. A state charge of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree is being requested.


 

Sedalia Police responded to Furnell Companies, 501 South Ohio Avenue Tuesday morning in reference to a report of a possible scam. They discovered that someone was fraudulently offering to rent out an apartment in the 300 block of West 4th Street. The subject was requesting electronic payment to secure the apartment prior to allowing anyone to visit. The subject was likely attempting to scam people out of money for securing the apartment, considering they had no authority to lease the building. At the time of the report, no victims have been identified. A report was made for documentation purposes.


 

Monday evening, Officers responded to the Break Time store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft from the business. The suspect stole approximately $2.99 worth of items from the business. The suspect left prior to the Officer's arrival. However, the suspect was able to be identified via the surveillance video. Charges of Stealing were submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.


 

Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department Tuesday morning from Tyler Atkinson in reference to a theft. Atkinson reported four wheels and tires were stolen from the 500 block of South Ohio Avenue. No suspects have been identified at this time. The value of the items stolen was estimated at $150.00.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Station to speak with Carl M. Quinn. Quinn reported that on the evening of June 18th, his 13 year old son had been in a fight at Hubbard Park, 601 North Missouri Avenue. The fight was with an unknown juvenile. Quinn reported that he took his son to the Bothwell Regional Health Center to be treated. The extent of the injuries was not determined at the time of the report. The suspect was not identified at the time of the report. Photos of the victim were attached to the case.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Asian Buffet, 3406 West Broadway Boulevard Tuesday morning for a report of theft. When Officers arrived, they made contact with Aleksandr V. Kondratyuk. Kondratyuk stated that sometime between Friday evening and Tuesday morning, someone forced entry into his vehicle and stole $3,860 worth of items and caused $500 in damage. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the Spring Fork Lake, 24689 Spring Fork Lake Road, for a trespassing report. On arrival, Officers spoke with David Murray, a Sedalia Water Department employee. Murray stated bolts were removed from the gate hinges and someone entered the property, which was closed due to an algae issue. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been located.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Station lobby in reference to a missing person Tuesday morning. Officers met with Juanita D. Hartman, who said her adult daughter had gone missing. Her daughter was last seen on the morning of Thursday, June 16th. Officers made contact with the individual at her home address in the 300 block of East 4th Street. Officers verified she was okay, and had nothing further to report.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Officers observed a subject riding a bicycle in the area of Jerome Drive and Douglas Lane. Officers knew the male had an active Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant for his arrest on original charges of Trespassing in the 2nd Degree. Officers made contact with the male in the area of West 32nd Street and South Stewart Avenue. Officers gave his information to Dispatch, who confirmed the warrant was active. Hakeem S. Dickson, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond was set at $250 cash only and Dickson was given a court date.
