Sedalia Police Reports For June 17, 2022

Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of East 14th Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. It was determined that multiple parties were involved in a physical altercation after a dog bit a child at the house. The mother of the child and another resident began fighting. In the process of this, one of the involved parties was bit by the same dog that had bit the child. One of the parties had left the house and took her son to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment from the dog bite. The other party was still present at the house. She had injuries to her legs from being bit. The PCAD responded and transported the other female to Bothwell for treatment. The next evening, Police responded to the same address and determined a physical altercation had taken place. The altercation was found to be mutual. A 12 hour log report was completed. There was no further information in the report.
Sedalia Police responded to the Woods Supermarket, 701 East Broadway Boulevard Thursday night for a report of a motor vehicle crash. After checking the information of one of the drivers, Dispatch advised that he did not have a license. He also had a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a License. Francisco Salvador, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released on the warrant and for charges of Driving Without a License.
Thursday night, Officers responded to the Phillips 66, 1320 South Limit Avenue for a report of property damage. When Officers arrived, contact was made with Raymond E. Bailey Sr. Bailey stated a larger passenger van was getting gas when the driver of the van entered the store and stated that he broke the gas pump hose off of the pump. It is unknown who the suspect is at the time of the report.
Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the 2400 block of West Main Street in reference to a wellness check. The caller had received a message from a subject at the apartments requesting help, but had not had any further communication from them. The caller arrived on the scene and was able to make contact with the subject. The subject had taken several pills. The subject was transported to the BHRC for treatment by PCAD.
Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Trendi Reflectionz Hair Salon, 1701 West 9th Street, for a report of a burglary. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Shawna K. Comfort. Comfort stated that sometime in the overnight hours, someone forced entry into the business, causing $75 in damage. There are no suspects at the time of the report.
Sedalia Police responded to the 1400 block of East 5th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance Thursday evening. Parties were separated prior to arrival. Alyssa Wickham and Calvin Woodard had engaged in a physical altercation in which they both sustained injury. A primary aggressor was not determined. The parties agreed to remain separated. A 12 hour log was started to document the situation.
Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of shoplifting. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the asset protection associate, William Bouws. He stated that earlier in the day, he observed a suspect identified as Leticia Teiberis take $150 worth of items and attempt to leave the store without paying for them. He then made contact with her, and took her into their office, where he notified the Police. Officers gathered the suspect's information and released her of her own recognizance. A court date was set for July.
