Sedalia Police Reports for July 5, 2023

Tuesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 200 block of West 5th Street for a call about a possible overdose. On arrival, an unconscious subject was in the street. The subject was not breathing properly. A single dose of NARCAN was administered by Officers. Sedalia Fire and PCAD responded to the scene. At the time of transport to the BRHC, the subject was alert. A report was completed to document the incident.

Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Osage Avenue for a report of a possibly dead person. On arrival the subject was located, and found to be deceased. The Pettis County Coroner was notified. After investigation, the deceased person was removed by the Heckart Funeral Home.

Sedalia Police took a report Monday morning in reference to a burglary that had previously occurred in the 900 block of Normandy Road. Kimberly A. Hughes reported approximately $2,457.00 worth of items were taken from the building. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor bike for speeding in the area of South Barrett Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard late Monday night. The driver was identified and his information was checked with Dispatch. It was then advised he had active Failure to Appear warrant form Pettis County on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License. Joseph J. Sullivan, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested on his warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked, pending a $250 cash only bond.

Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to McAnally Court for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and learned two subjects had been in a disturbance. The two were residing with one another and were in a romantic relationship. The disturbance resulted in an altercation and property damage. After an investigation, Officers could not determine a primary physical aggressor. A 12-hour log was completed, and both subjects were requested to separate.

Late Monday night, a vehicle was stopped in the area of West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue. The driver was found to have no driver’s license. The driver was also found to be intoxicated. Hector Cuc Pop, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without A Valid License. Cuc Pop was placed on a 12-hour safekeeping hold.

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Quincy Avenue Monday night. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Maria L. Romero Rubio, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Romero Rubio was booked in at the Pettis County Jail and released.

Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue Monday morning in reference to a theft. Garrett Hall told Officers his 2023 Honda Grom 125 cc matte black motorcycle was stolen in the overnight hours. Hall stated his Honda was parked in the driveway and valued at an estimated $3,500. The motorcycle was entered into MULES as stolen.

Early Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 400 block of Welch Court for a report of a disturbance. A domestic violence situation was investigated, and an aggressor was not determined. A 12-hour report was completed to document the incident. One of the subjects was found to have a Failure to Appear warrant form the City of Sedalia for Driving While Intoxicated. Dierre Marshaun Robinson, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash only bond of $60.00.
