On the night of July 16th, Officers were dispatched to a careless and imprudent driver in the 1000 block of West 10th Street. Witnesses provided updated locations as the suspect drove across town. Officers made contact with him at his address. The driver provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Yeison Lopez Tello, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Thursday evening, Officers were dispatched to the train station in the 100 block of West Pacific Street in reference to a disturbance. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the victim and a witness. Both stated the suspect walked up to the victim and started punching him for no reason. Levi G. Bell, 40, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bell was placed on a 24 hour hold, and a request for the charge of Assault in the 3rd Degree has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

In the early morning hours of July 16th, Officers were dispatched to the area of West 12th Street and South Washington Avenue. The call was in reference to an intoxicated driver with minors in the vehicle. The witness said the vehicle was swerving and the driver was yelling. The vehicle was later located at the Cenex store, 120 East 16th Street. Contact was made with the driver, and it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Jennifer Lynn Smith, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Smith provided a breath sample that showed her BAC was above 0.08. There were two juveniles in the back seat of the car. Smith was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender) and Endangering the Welfare of Child in the 1st Degree.

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Stewart Avenue in reference to a disturbance. On scene investigation led to the arrest of one subject. Damarion J. Jones, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested for Assault. Jones was transported to the Police Department, booked and released with a municipal summons.


 

Officers responded to the Taco Bell restaurant, 820 South Limit Avenue Wednesday evening in reference to a stolen vehicle. During the course of the investigation, Officers were able to locate the vehicle and return it to its owner. Officers were able to identify the suspects, but were unable to locate them at this time.


 

Sedalia Police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop at West 10th Street and South Ohio Avenue Wednesday evening. The vehicle did not stop, and continued to flee from the scene. The driver has not been identified at this time.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of South State Fair Boulevard and West 14th Street Friday morning. Drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle. The paraphernalia was seized and placed into evidence for destruction.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers made contact with Amber Wallace in reference to found property. Wallace stated she found a credit card in the lobby of Freddy's Steakburgers and was turning it in. At this time, the cardholder has not been contacted due to lack of information. The card will be placed into found property at the Police Department.


 

Thursday night, Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a runaway juvenile. Jennifer Archambault stated her juvenile daughter ran away from home and has not returned. The juvenile's information was entered into MULES.


 

Thursday morning, Tiffany D. Boehm came to the Police Department to report what she believed was harassment from someone she knew. Boehm produced texts from several incidents involving what she believed were harassing texts. The latest text told her to quit talking to others and used insulting language. The victim requested charges.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the CVS, 100 East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a possibly stolen vehicle. Officers spoke with Cameron Taber and others on scene, and documented the incident with a general information report.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Vapor Maven, 2927 West Broadway Boulevard Wednesday afternoon in reference to a theft. A male subject came into the business and while the employee's back was turned, reached over the counter and grabbed an unknown amount of product. The subject then left the business without paying.
