Sedalia Police Reports for July 20, 2023

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to a domestic assault in the 1500 block of West Main Street. The suspect was identified as the same suspect currently being investigated on another domestic assault call. The suspect was located in the area of the second event and taken into custody. David B. Borgstadt Jr., 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree and Assault in the 4th Degree. Borgstadt was taken to the Bothwell Regional Health Center to be given a fit for confinement check. After being seen, Borgstadt was taken to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.

Sedalia Police spoke to a victim in the lobby of the Police Department last Friday in reference to a violation of a Full Order of Protection that occurred at the Phillips 66 store, 216 West Broadway Boulevard. Video footage was obtained showing the violation of the court order. Wednesday night, the suspect was contacted in the 500 block of East 4th Street. Tara L. Davis, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for Violation of an Ex Parte/Full Order of Protection. Davis was booked and released pending state charges.

Early Thursday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area near South Limit Avenue and West 11th Street. Upon the conclusion of the investigation, one male individual was arrested. Bo Daniel Skeel, 32, of Cole Camp, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and No Proof of Insurance. Skeel was transported to the Sedalia Police Department to be processed and released with a summons.

Officers were dispatched to the Dollar General store, 2500 West Broadway Boulevard for a report of theft late on the night of July 16th. Upon arrival Officers gathered necessary information to generate a report.
