Sedalia Police Reports For July 18, 2023

Monday afternoon, an Officer made contact with a female subject who came into the Police Department with an active Pettis County warrant for her arrest. Michele Ann Davenport, 56, Homeless, was arrested on her warrant for felony Assault in the 3rd Degree (Special Victim). Davenport was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Officers made a traffic stop in the area of South Limit Avenue and West 20th Street Monday afternoon. Contact was made with the male driver, who was discovered to have an active Morgan County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Failure to Wear a Seat Belt and Failure to Secure a Child Under the Age of Eight. Lawrence Christopher Carter, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested on his warrants and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Carter was booked in pending a cash only bond of $200*. The vehicle was released to a relative.

Late Monday night, Officers responded to the Thompson Hills Shopping Center parking lot for a potential physical domestic disturbance in progress. After interviewing the suspect and victim, a primary physical aggressor was determined and arrested. Koehn Leath Isenberg, 29, Homeless, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Isenberg was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a fit for confinement check. Then, he was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.

Sedalia Police observed a vehicle driving that was following another vehicle too closely late Monday night. The vehicle had also pulled to the side of the road prior to a traffic stop being conducted. The stop was conducted in the area of North Ohio Avenue and East Johnson Street. The driver was intoxicated by drugs and alcohol. Raymond Lyle Graham, 66, of Republic, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Graham was taken to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.

Officers responded to the Asia Hibachi, 1975 West Broadway Boulevard for a property damage report Monday evening. When Officers arrived, contact was made with the caller, who stated that between Sunday night and Monday afternoon, someone had set their dumpster on fire. There is no suspect at the time of the report.

Monday evening, Officers responded to the 900 block of South Quincy Avenue for a report of domestic violence. The investigation revealed two subjects in a romantic relationship had engaged in a physical fight. A primary aggressor could not be determined, so a 12-hour log was started to document the incident.

*Noted in the bond was a notice for Carter to submit to a chemical test of his breath, blood, saliva, or urine at any time requested to do so by Law Enforcement or a Court Officer.
