Monday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the Wal-Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. After an on scene investigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Cheyanne M. Wiser, 21, of Sedalia, was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she was released with a summons.


 

Officers responded to the area of East Main Street and South Washington Avenue late Monday night in reference to a possible suicidal subject threatening to jump from the bridge. Officers arrived and contacted the subject. The subject admitted to having made some statements of concern. They agreed for PCAD to transport them to the BRHC for further treatment and evaluation.


 

In the early morning hours of January 15th, Officers responded to the 1300 block of East 11th Street for a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the suspect had fled the scene. Officers conducted an investigation, and were able to identify the suspect. On the evening of January 18th, Ashley Nicole Meyrose, 39 of Sedalia, was issued a citation for Destruction of Non City Property.


 

Monday evening, Officers responded to the 1900 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a possible trespassing report. Officers arrived and made contact with the suspect, who was sitting in his car on the property. He had been issued a trespass warning last week for the address. Jeremiah Jones, 42, of Mora, was issue a citation for Trespassing and released from the scene.

Officers made contact with Christina Thomas Monday morning, who wished to report a theft. Thomas stated her vehicle was stolen from the 400 block of East 2nd Street in the overnight hours. While investigating the theft of her 2009 Pontiac G6, Officers were informed by Dispatch the vehicle had been involved in an accident the night before and had been towed form the scene. The driver had fled the scene after the accident. Thomas was notified of the location her vehicle had been towed to, but there are no suspects at this time.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South Barrett Avenue in reference to a welfare check. A computer check of one of the subjects on scene showed she had an active warrant for her arrest. Erin M. Obie, 48, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Pettis County warrant on two counts of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and felony Trafficking Drugs in the 2nd Degree. Obie was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in with a bond of $35,000 cash or surety.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Park Avenue in reference to a violation of a protection order. State charges of Violation of an Ex-Parte are being recommended to the prosecutor.


 

Sunday night, an SUV was stopped at North Depp Avenue and East Jackson Street for suspicion of intoxicated driving, and for several moving violations. The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs. Jason Dean Homan, 22, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Homan was taken to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released on state charges.


 

A truck was stopped in the area of East 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue early Monday morning because it had no license plate lights. The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs. Larry J. Allen, 61, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for felony Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs - Aggravated). Allen was placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

On the evening of January 18th, Officers were dispatched to the Jiffy Stop, 1722 West Broadway Boulevard for a report of theft. An employee of the store was stealing lottery tickets from the store. Mason WD Harms, 18, of Cole Camp, was issued a court summons for city charges of Stealing.
