Last Wednesday morning, an Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Beacon Avenue. A computer check of the driver's information showed their driver's license was suspended. Garrett L. Medlock, 21, of Niangua, was issued a court summons for Driving While Suspended and released from the scene.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Stewart Avenue last Wednesday morning. A computer check of the driver's information showed they had an active warrant from Cass County for their arrest. Angela Lee Runnels, 44, of Warrensburg, was arrested on her warrant for felony Stealing (Amount greater than $25,000). Runnels was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was given a $25,000 cash only bond.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Family Pawn Shop, 2805 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to an assist agency report last Thursday morning. A firearm was reported stolen from Miller County, and passed through the Family Pawn Shop. An assist agency report was completed and forwarded to the appropriate agencies.


 

Last Thursday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Stephanie Morris Nissan car dealership, 3600 South Limit Avenue. Christina Marshall reported a possible forgery that had occurred at the business. A report was started to document the incident, and further follow up is required.


 

Officers were contacted over the phone last Tuesday night over a report of an animal complaint. It was reported dogs were chasing people, barking and annoying others in the 1500 block of East 6th Street. Officers gathered information and generated a report over the incident. The owner, Denise Elizabeth Miller, 44, was contacted and issued a citation.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the area of West 16th Street and South Beacon Avenue last Tuesday morning. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated by drugs. Jeremy Altis, 19, of Lincoln, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Altis was transported to the BRHC for a blood draw, and then to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Plaza Avenue for a report of a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, Officers heard yelling coming from inside the home. Officers made entry and conducted an investigation. Officers documented their findings, and left the home after the parties agreed to separate. It was determined both parties were involved in a physical altercation. The primary physical aggressor could not be determined, and a 12 hour log was completed.


 

On the night of January 13th, Officers responded to the 400 block of East 6th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. When Officers arrived, an investigation was conducted. Shayla K. Russell, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by a subject known to have a revoked driving status last Tuesday night. The stop took place in the area near West 18th Street and South Prospect Avenue. Officers made contact with the subject, and confirmed his revoked driving status. Michael Anthony Fillicetti, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Fillicetti was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 700 block of West Broadway Boulevard Friday afternoon in reference to a theft report. Russell Johnson stated that sometime between Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoon, someone stole a bicycle out of their garage.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Volker's Eatery and Pub, 1021 South Limit Avenue in reference to a property damage report. The suspect damaged a table top by scratching into the wood with a knife. The entire table needs to be replaced, and the estimated value was set at $500. The suspect was identified as Patrick R. Jones, 33, of Ionia. Jones was issued a court summons for Destruction of Non-City Property and released with a court date.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers made contact with a subject in the 100 block of East Johnson Street. A computer check through Dispatch confirmed her to have an active warrant from Pettis County. Pia Ladette Carter, 55, of Sedalia, was arrested for her warrant on charges of felony Stealing (4th Or Subsequent Offence in 10 Years). Carter was transported to the Pettis County Jail with bond set at $5,000 cash or surety.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Department Monday morning in reference to a disposal of property request. The item was identified as a two bladed knuckle knife, that the owner stated had been in their garage for over twenty years. The owner wanted the knife property disposed of. The knife was taken and placed into safekeeping to be marked for destruction.


 

Early Monday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no license plate lights. The driver was found to have thrown items from the vehicle. Brandon L. Paxton, 30, of Smithton, was arrested for felony Tampering With Physical Evidence, Unlawful Possession of a Concealable Weapon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Paxton was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Friday night, Officers responded to the Wood's Supermarket, 701 East Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with employees, who reported a theft from the store. Video was obtained, and the suspect was identified. Charges will be submitted to the state prosecutor.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 3300 block of West 10th Street in reference to an assault Monday evening. The Officer spoke to the victim, who stated they were assaulted by their boyfriend earlier in the day at a different location. The suspect was located in the 1600 block of Heck Avenue. Tristan D. Fizer, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Fizer was placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges.


 

Sunday evening, Officers were dispatched to the area of West 13th Street and South Ohio Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the driver and the owner of the vehicle. The driver said the suspect vehicle hit him and then drove off. No arrests have been made.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue Saturday night. It was reported a vehicle was in a ditch. When Officers arrived, they found the vehicle had failed to properly negotiate a left turn and ran off the road. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, a blood draw was conducted, and the driver was arrested. Santiago Waldo Herrera, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.


 

Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Thompson Boulevard for a report of a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers conducted an investigation and made an arrest of the primary physical aggressor. Dung Quang Tran, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Tran was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Park Avenue Sunday afternoon in reference to property damage. The caller stated the female suspect left the scene on foot. A second related call came in, stating there was a distraught female walking near West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue. Officers located the female in the area of West 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue. Officers were made aware the female had an active Failure to Appear warrant out of Pettis County on original charges of Violations Involving Child Support/Public Assistance Information. Officers made contact with the female, and while gathering identity information, she fled on foot. Officers were able to apprehend the female. Nickie E. Smith, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant and a charge of Resisting Arrest. Smith was booked in to be placed on a 24 hour hold, with bond on the warrant set at $2500 cash or surety.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of Clinton Road and Erika Avenue. Elizabet E. Echols, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Echols was released with a city citation.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Vermont Avenue in reference to a report of domestic disturbance Sunday morning. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the occupants, who had been involved in a physical altercation. Both parties sustained minor injuries. A primary aggressor could not be determined, and the parties were separated for the day.


 

Saturday night, Officers were dispatched to the area of West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue for a report of a vehicle sitting in the road way. When Officers arrived, they found the vehicle running, and the driver appeared to be asleep. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver refused to provide a breath sample, and a warrant was obtained for a blood draw. The blood draw was conducted, and the subject was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Kieon Xzavier Davis, 21, of Warsaw, was booked in on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender) and then released.


 

Saturday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on West Main Street near Oak Grove Lane. The vehicle had been observed speeding. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver refused to provide a breath sample, and a warrant was obtained for a blood draw. The blood draw was conducted, and the subject was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Rachel A. Taylor, 33, of Centerview, was booked in on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and then released.


 

Last Friday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with excessively dark window tint in the area of East 13th Street and South Lamine Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a revoked driving status. Ron Eddleman, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Eddleman was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

On the afternoon of January 13th, Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Main Street and South Stewart Avenue. The driver had two Failure to Appear warrants for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility out of Cooper County. Erica Javonta Lynch, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested for her warrants and transported to the Pettis County Jail with total bond set at $290.00 cash only.


 

Officers took a report of theft from the Walgreen's store, 801 South Limit Avenue on the morning of January 13th. The reporting party stated that someone who identified themselves as a representative of the Walgreens Fraud department convinced an employee to wire transfer $8,080.00. Management was able to place a stop on the transfer, and received the money back.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Perkin's restaurant, 1100 South Limit Avenue last Friday morning for a report of a forgery attempt. A customer in the store attempted to pay for their meal with a fake $100 bill. The suspect left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival.


 

Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Menard's store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue in reference to a theft report. A suspect came into the store on multiple occasions and stole approximately $2,179 worth of merchandise.
