Wednesday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet pick up with no registration in the area of West 10th Street and Thompson Boulevard. Officers made contact with the suspect and ran his information through Communications. A warrant out of Pettis County for Stealing was confirmed hard copy. Brandon J. Miller, 39, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail, with bond set at $7,500 cash or surety.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 400 block of Buckner Court for a report of assault. When Officers arrived, they made contact with a victim and a witness, who stated that the victim's ex-boyfriend assaulted her. A second victim stated that the suspect is her brother, and he also assaulted her. The suspect is known and charges are being submitted.


 

In the early morning hours of December 31, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East 16th Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered shortly after and returned to the owner. Billy B. Brown, 34, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree, Stealing a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Suspended, and Stealing.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1600 block of South Erika Avenue for a warrant check Wednesday evening. When Officers arrived, two suspects were located and arrested for their warrants. Lori Lynn Hadley, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested for her warrants on Possession of Marijuana and Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Joseph Edward Weller, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrants for felony Property Damage in the 1st Degree and Peace Disturbance. Bond for both Hadley and Weller was set at $7,500 cash or surety.
