This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. Early Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the 900 block of South Sneed for a report of theft. An adult male reported that his teenage daughter stole his Xbox and he wanted to prosecute her for it.


Sedalia Police observed a vehicle driving recklessly and running stop signs early Tuesday morning. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it failed to stop. This resulted in a short pursuit. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated and had a revoked driver's license. Marcus Munzo, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. He then refused to give an adequate breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and a blood draw was conducted. Munzo was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold. A request for the charges of felony Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender), felony Driving While Revoked, felony Resisting Arrest and Careless Driving has been submitted to the prosecutor.


Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle they had observed crossing the lane divider that was driving well under the posted speed limit Tuesday morning. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Bradley Hathorn, 52, of Eureka Springs Arkansas, was arrested and transported to the SPD. Hathorn provided a breath sample there that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Hathorn was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket with a court date on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and released to a sober driver.


Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West 10th Street for a domestic disturbance. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the caller, who said she had been fighting with her brother all day over money for bills. The caller said at one point she was struck by her brother. Officers were unable to make contact with the other individual involved with the altercation. No arrests have been made at this time.


Sedalia Police observed a vehicle travelling on West Main Street near Winchester Drive Monday night with expired registration plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Claude E. North Jr., 66, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, North provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. North was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released to a sober driver pending charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender).


Early Sunday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on South Lamine Avenue near East 3rd Street for a vehicle Officers observed fail to stop at a stop sign. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Mark A. Homan, 48, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Homan provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Homan was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender).


Monday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, 3171 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of domestic assault. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim, who stated that earlier in the day her ex-boyfriend showed up to her hotel room and assaulted her. The victim said that the suspect later showed up to her work and damaged her vehicle. Charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree and Property Damage are being sought.


Sedalia Police spoke with Wendy Husky, who stated she found a set of keys Tuesday evening in the 1100 block of South Osage Avenue. They were secured in evidence for safekeeping.

Officers responded to the 1500 block of East 7th Street Tuesday morning for a report of a house fire. The fire was extinguished by the Sedalia Fire Department. The incident is still under investigation.


Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South Arlington Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance. The two parties involved physically assaulted each other. No primary physical aggressor was determined. The incident was documented in a 12 hour log.


Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of West 5th Street and South Missouri Avenue after it failed to yield to the patrol vehicle. The driver was found to not have a driver's license. Sandra Artista Morgado, 42, of Smithton, was transported to the Police Department, fingerprinted, and released with a municipal citation for No Operator's License.


Tuesday afternoon, Officers were flagged down at the Police Department after Terry Keller found a purse in the road somewhere in Sedalia. Attempts were made to contact the purse's owner, but they were ultimately unsuccessful.


Sedalia Police recognized a subject with warrants for their arrest at the Cenex Phillips 66, 120 East 16th Street, Tuesday afternoon. Dispatch confirmed the two warrants, which were Failure To Appear warrants on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without A Valid License and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. Jevlyn Sostenis Alexander, 36, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County jail to be held pending a $207.00 cash only bond.


Tuesday afternoon, Officers were stopped by Richard Blaine Waters at the corner of East 4th Street and Emmet. Waters had bought a phone for two cigarettes from a known subject, and then thought better and wanted to turn it in. The phone was not found to be listed as stolen. The phone was taken and placed into evidence as found property.


Sedalia Police were told Monday afternoon by James Wikstrom about a wallet which he had found near the intersection of West 7th Street and South Ohio Avenue. Wikstrom turned over the wallet. Contact was made with the owner, and the wallet was returned.


Monday afternoon, Officers stopped a vehicle at the Break Time store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard, after observing it commit a series of moving violations. A computer check through Dispatch revealed that the driver's license was revoked. Shannon Rene Spruell, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


Officers spoke with a caller Monday afternoon who wished to report that a suspect had violated a full order of protection at the Casey's store, 3050 South Limit Avenue. The suspect was later located, interviewed, and arrested in the 1800 block of South Kentucky Avenue. Christopher L. Ford, 46, of Sedalia, was placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of formal charges for Violation of Full Order of Protection and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License.
