Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Prospect Avenue for a reported suspicious subject incident. A suspect was located, and found to have an active city warrant from Sedalia. The Failure to Appear warrant was for Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway While the Driver's License was Revoked. Caleb Paul Bartlett, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $41.50.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash Monday night in the area of East 16th Street and South Hancock Avenue. One of the drivers of the vehicles involved in the crash had a suspended driver's license. Diego Chavez Portillo, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested and released on the scene with a municipal summons for Driving While Suspended.


 

Monday evening, Officers took a report of a lost phone from Robert Lee Kreisel. The phone was lost at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. The phone was lost in the front bathroom. It has not been returned yet, and is no longer in the bathroom.


 

Officers initiated a traffic stop near North Park Avenue and West Main Street on a vehicle without license plates Monday afternoon. A check through Dispatch showed the driver had an active Pettis County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Animal At Large with a cash or surety bond of $200. She also had a Benton County felony Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Failure to Display License Plates with no bond. A search of the vehicle found drug paraphernalia. Tiffany M. Morrill, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail where she was booked. A state charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia was sent to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 600 block of East 14th Street for a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located and returned to his parents.


 

An Officer initiated a traffic stop on a truck near East 6th Street and South Hancock Avenue that did not have license plates Monday morning. A check through Dispatch found the driver had an active Benton County warrant on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License. Bond on the warrant was $600 cash or surety. Nicole Zena Kuzma, 34, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Benton County Line, where Lincoln Police took custody of Kuzma.


 

Monday morning, an Officer performed a vehicle check on an SUV parked at Hubbard Park, 601 North Missouri Avenue. The Officer made contact with the occupants and believed one of them had a felony warrant. The subject provided a false name and birth date. Then later, he admitted that he was the subject with the active warrant. Antonio M. Quetzecua Marcos, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested on his warrant for felony Driving While Revoked. Quetzecua Marcos was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked pending a $3,500 cash or surety bond. A state charge of Identity Theft was submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.


 

Sedalia Police served a search warrant in the 500 block of East Harvey Street Monday morning. During the course of the search warrant, one subject at the residence was found to have active warrants for their arrest. John M. Zimmerman, 50, Homeless, had two Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Driving While Suspended, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Displaying the License Plates of Another Person. Zimmerman was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash bond of $500.
