Sedalia Police Reports for February 29th, 2024

Wednesday night, Officers responded to the 100 block of South Quincy Avenue in reference to a cardiac arrest. Officers and the Pettis County Ambulance District arrived on scene and began life saving measures. The subject was pronounced deceased on scene shortly after. The next of kin were notified.
Sedalia Police took a phone call regarding a violation of an ex parte Wednesday evening. The victim was contacted by a subject she has active ex parte against. The victim provided a statement, and charges are being pursued.
Officers took an assault report Wednesday night from Justin C. Baker. Baker stated he was shoved by a suspect at the George A. Whiteman Memorial Post 642, the American Legion, 2016 West Main Street. Charges are being requested.
On the afternoon of February 25th, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a disturbance involving weapons. Upon arrival, Officers learned that all parties involved had left prior to Officers' arrival. During the investigation, Officers learned two suspects had assaulted the victim, and threatened him with handguns and scissors. The two suspects have bene identified, and charges are being requested against them for Assault in the 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
