Early Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of South Osage Avenue in reference to a disturbance. When Officers arrived, they made contact with the caller. The caller explained he had been involved in a physical altercation with his girlfriend. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the caller was the primary physical aggressor. Matthew Garbarz, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Garbarz was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Tuesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Carr Avenue in reference to a report of stalking. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the caller. The caller stated she was notified by Apple that she was being followed with an AirTag. Officers were unable to locate the AirTag on the vehicle. Officers also attempted to speak with Apple, but they hung up the phone on law enforcement, rather than helping. No arrests have been made at this time.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of South Barrett Avenue Tuesday evening. A general information report was completed on the incident.


 

Officers were dispatched to an address in the 700 block of East 5th Street Tuesday morning. Officers made contact with a subject who was reported missing out of Kansas. Contact was made with the missing person, and a report will be completed.

Tuesday morning, Officers spoke with a subject over the phone. The subject wished to explain to Officers that she had received a harassing message via Instagram from an ex-boyfriend. This occurred in another jurisdiction. The report is being completed as an assist agency report.


 

Sedalia Police took a report in the Police Station lobby Monday morning in reference to a hit and run accident. Bethany Shannon Clay stated she witnessed a vehicle strike a utility pole and then proceed to leave the scene without reporting the incident. The driver and the vehicle have been identified, but no contact has been made at this time.


 

Monday evening, Officers were contacted over the phone for a report of a suspected order of protection violation. Officers responded to the address, in the 600 block of East 16th Street. Officers took information and made a report to document the incident.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers responded to the area of West 16th Street and South Osage Avenue to investigate a possible assault. Officers arrived in the 1600 block of South Osage Avenue and spoke to the victim, as well as several witnesses. The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody. William Earl Perkins, 36, of Broadview Illinois, was transported to the BRHC for treatment. Perkins was then transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of West 20th Street for a report of property damage Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with John A. Kehde. Kehde stated that sometime over the weekend, someone tossed rocks at seven of the windows on the house, shattering them. Kehde estimated the damage to cost approximately $1,000.00.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Casey's store, 1909 West Main Street, Monday morning in reference to a report of trespassing. The suspect was found to have a Pettis County warrant for Probation Violation on an original charge of Larceny/Theft. Sarita Linda Leon, 61, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $100.
