Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of South Grand Avenue for a medical call. Upon arrival, it was found that the patient had been transported by family to the hospital, and Police services were no longer needed.


 

On the night of February 13th, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near West 3rd Street and South Washington Avenue that did not have working license plate lights. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Raymond Austin Samson, 59, of Sedalia, was transported to the Police Department. There, Samson provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Samson was issued a UTT for Driving While Intoxicated and released to a sober driver.


 

Monday night, Officers located a subject who had an active Pettis County warrant while in the area of North New York Avenue and East Jackson Street. Officers confirmed the warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance with a bond of $50,000 cash or surety. Orval Gene Hudson, 64, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Westwood Avenue for a report of found property Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers met with Tracy McGwire. Officers located the bike that had been sitting in the parking lot for the past week. Officers ran the bike's serial number through Dispatch. The bike was not reported stolen. It was placed into found property.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of West 1st Street in reference to an identity theft report. Joseph F. Jennewein said he received a letter from T-Mobile stating he owed approximately $1000 in charges that were fraudulently accrued in his name.


 

Sedalia Police stopped an SUV in the area of South Park Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard for moving violations and indicators of impairment Monday morning. The driver was intoxicated. Manson Josha, 23, of Knob Noster, was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Josha was booked in on state charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Driving With out a Valid License. Josha was placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold.


 

Monday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 7th Street and South Ohio Avenue on a vehicle after a computer check showed the plates on the vehicle did not belong on the vehicle. After investigation, the plates on the vehicle were seized and placed into evidence to be sent back to the Department of Revenue.


 

Sunday night, Officers conducted a warrant check on a subject in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue. A computer check of the subject showed an active warrant out of Pettis County for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Cierra Leigh Lawler, 32, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $7,500 cash or surety bond.


 

Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Main Street and West Avenue Monday morning. A passenger was found to have an active Green County warrant. John W. Sant Sr., 41, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on his warrant for Non Support. Bond was set at $4,000 cash or surety.


 

Sunday evening, Officers responded to the 400 block of West 7th Street for a report of found drugs. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Timon Ruth Blackburn, who stated she found marijuana that was in possession of her juvenile son. The marijuana was seized and a referral was sent to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.


 

A van was stopped in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue Sunday night. The van had a headlight out, and it appeared to have just been involved in a motor vehicle accident. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated, had no license, had just crashed and left the scene. Emilio Ax Xol, 47, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and taken to the Police Department. Ax Xol was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of felony Driving Without a License, Driving While Intoxicated, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers responded to the area of East 2nd Street and Washington in reference to a hit and run accident with serious physical injury. The suspect was located shortly after in the 700 block of East 3rd Street, highly intoxicated. Kelli Jane Newkirk, 42, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest. Newkirk was then taken to the Police Station, the hospital, and then the Pettis County Jail. Newkirk was placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of felony Driving While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of an Accident (With Injury).


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1900 block of South Quincy Avenue for a report of vandalism to a vehicle Saturday night.


 

Early Sunday morning, a truck was stopped in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue for moving violations and improper registration. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Tyson Trent Bradshaw, 38, of Rocheport, was placed under arrest. Bradshaw was then taken to the Police Station, the hospital, and then to the Pettis County Jail. Bradshaw was booked in on a state charge of Driving While Intoxicated pending release to a sober person.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a burglary call at Discount Smokes & Liquors, 2610 West Broadway Sunday morning. Officers discovered a window had been broken at the business sometime overnight. Approximately $430 in nicotine products were stolen and roughly $500 worth of damage was caused. A suspect was later located during a traffic stop in the 1300 block of South Limit for a defective brake light. Alexander L. Peake, 19, of Sedalia, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A computer check revealed he was also wanted on a municipal Failure to Appear warrant out of Johnson County on original charges of Probation Violation for Driving While Intoxicated (Person Younger than 17 In the Vehicle). Peake was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of state charges for Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Stealing, Property Damage in the 2nd Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

Friday evening, Officers responded to the Menard's store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, in reference to a theft no longer in progress. The theft occurred on February 11th. A suspect has been identified and interviewed. Charges for Stealing will be sent to the prosecutor for review.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a forged $100 bill being passed at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. The subject purchased approximately $50.15 in items from the store and then received change from the transaction. It was later discovered that the $100 bill was actually a $10 bill that had been altered. The suspect has not been located at this time.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 2300 block of East 15th Street Saturday afternoon in reference to a deceased subject. The subject was located and found deceased by family. No life saving measures were attempted. The Pettis County Coroner was requested to respond. Rea's Funeral Home was contacted by request of the family.


 

Sunday morning, Officers responded to the 100 block of South West Boulevard in reference to a domestic disturbance. A couple got into an argument. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The subjects had already separated prior to Officer's arrival. Officers were unable to determined a primary physical aggressor. The incident was documented for a 12 hour domestic violence log.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Kentucky Avenue Sunday afternoon in reference to windows found open at a vacant home. Officers were told there were no damages to the home, nor were there items missing.


 

Sunday morning, Officers conducted a subject check in the area of the 800 block of Winchester Court. Contact was made with the suspect. A computer check of her information revealed two outstanding warrants for her arrest. Paris Cheyenne Hill, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested for her two Failure to Appear warrants out of Clay and Pettis County on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The Clay County warrant set bond at $10,000 cash only. Pettis County set bond at $7,500 cash or surety.


 

Saturday evening, Officers responded to the 400 block of East 13th Street in reference to a report of a sex crime. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the parents of the juvenile. A report was completed.


 

Sedalia Police stopped an SUV between West 2nd Street and West 3rd Street Saturday morning after it improperly parked and the driver littered. It was determined the driver was intoxicated. Broden Erik Riley, 29, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Riley was then taken to the Police Department, then the Pettis County Jail. Riley was booked in pending release to a sober person.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers conducted a warrant check in the 1300 block of Walker Circle. The wanted subject was located and a Pettis County warrant was confirmed. Chasity L. Crawford, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested for her warrant on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Crawford was transported to the Pettis County Jail where bond was set at $7,500 cash or surety.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 2600 block of West Broadway Boulevard Saturday morning. The driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant from the City of Sedalia. Andrii Surgay, 25, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Speeding. Surgay was held pending a cash only bond of $200.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the 900 block of Westwood Avenue to take a report of property damage. Ashely R. Brandenburg reported a sliding glass door panel was shattered on February 12th by an unknown subject. The value of the door is estimated at $1000.


 

Officers conducted a vehicle check near the intersection of West 7th Street and South Quincy Avenue Saturday morning. Two subjects were arrested following an investigation. Elizabeth A. Esqueda, 34, Homeless, was arrested on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. Joshua S. Thaller, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. Both Esqueda and Thaller were transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges.


 

On the evening of February 18th, Delphia S. Trapino turned in a found wallet in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard. It is believed the wallet was stolen. A report was taken.


 

Friday night, a truck was stopped in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Vermont Avenue after it failed to maintain its lane several times. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Skyler James Bahner, 27, of Smithton, was placed under arrest. Bahner was transported to the Sedalia PD, processed, and then released to a sober person on municipal charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Improper Lane Usage.


 

Friday morning, Officers responded to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, in reference to a subject with an active warrant. Officers arrived and confirmed the subject had an active Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug out of Henry County. Stewart W. Kimbrell, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond from Henry County was set at $5,000 cash or surety.


 

On the afternoon of February 15th, Officers responded to the 2500 block of Albert Lee Avenue in reference to an assault involving two juveniles. One of the juveniles had minor injuries, but medical treatment was refused. A report was sent to the juvenile office.


 

Friday morning Officers responded to the 600 block of East 16th Street in reference to a 911 call hang up. Officers arrived and made contact with two subjects who reside at the residence. It was determined that a physical altercation had occurred prior to Officers' arrival. Both parties had minor injuries. Neither wished to assist in prosecution. The primary physical aggressor could not be determined. A 12 hour log was completed on the incident.
