Monday afternoon, the Sedalia Police Department took a property damage complaint from Jasmine Sereta Maria Main. The damage was reported in the 900 block of West 9th Street. Main reported that someone she knew broke several items in her apartment.


 

Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a possible assault Monday afternoon. Erik Gonzalez stated that he was assaulted at the Bothwell Regional Health Center by staff while he was there for treatment. The suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Monday night, a motor vehicle collision was reported in the area of West 6th Street and South Moniteau Avenue. The driver ran into a dumpster. It was determined that the driver was intoxicated. Alexis Breana Metscher, 21, of Florence, was arrested, transported to the Police Department, and then the Pettis County Jail, where she was held on a 12 hour protective custody hold. Municipal charges are being requested for Driving While Intoxicated, No Seatbelt, and No Proof of Insurance.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1100 block of South Massachusetts Monday evening in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers observed a male bleeding from his face. Gary Austin claimed his roommate assaulted him. Officers spoke to all parties involved and charges will be sent to the prosecutor for review.


 

Monday night, an assist agency report was completed and referred to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office in reference to a domestic assault that had occurred on December 3rd.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East 15th Street Monday evening in reference to a theft of a bicycle. Larry David Craig III reported the bicycle had been stolen early that morning and was worth between $300 and $400. Craig is willing to pursue charges.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Lamine Avenue to conduct a warrant check. Consent was given to check for the wanted party. As Officers entered, the suspect crawled into an attic inside a bathroom inside the residence. The suspect was ordered to come out at Taser point. The suspect came out and was taken into custody. James E. Chapman, 33, of Sedalia, had three active warrants out of Pettis County. One Failure to Appear warrant was for Driving While Suspended, a felony Failure to Appear warrant was for Driving While Suspended and Resisting Arrest, and one warrant was for felony Stealing. Chapman also had an active Probation Violation warrant for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle out of Green County with no bond. All warrants were confirmed by hard copy a short time later. Chapman was transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

Officers responded to CSC Steel, 322 South Ohio Avenue, Monday morning in reference to a theft. A construction trailer was broken into over the weekend in the area. Approximately $7,628 worth of tools were taken from a trailer during the incident. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 1000 block of East 3rd Street in reference to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was swiftly located and returned to the guardian. A report was sent to the juvenile office.


 

Monday morning, Officers performed a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet passenger car for a driver known to the Officer to be revoked. Officers made contact with the driver, Alla V. Mishchuk, 35, of Sedalia. A computer check through Dispatch confirmed her to be a revoked driver. Mishchuk was arrested for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 900 block of South Barrett Avenue Monday morning. Contact was made with the suspect. His information was ran through Joint Communications. Dispatch confirmed a no bond warrant hard copy from Pettis County. Officers arrested Joshua A. Williams, 48, of Sedalia and transported him the Pettis County Jail with no bond. There is no further information at this time in the report.
