Late on the night of December 18th, Sedalia Police observed a black F150 truck that was having issues staying in its lane. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at West Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue. When Officers made contact with the driver, they detected the odor of intoxicants on her breath. During the course of the investigation it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Bridgett M. Satrang, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department where she provided a breath sample that showed her BAC was above 0.08. Satrang was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released. A request for a charge of Driving While Intoxicated has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Last Thursday evening, Sedalia Police responded to the 1300 block of South Limit Avenue for an assault. Penny P. Collins, 52, of Kansas City Missouri, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree.


 

Monday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a stolen license plate report. John S. Bloess reported the license plate was missing since around the morning of December 7th from the area of West 24th Street and South Grand Avenue. The plate was entered into MULES and NCIC as stolen.


 

An Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a missing persons report Monday afternoon. Jana Hanlon stated that her daughter left the house in the 2100 block of South Warren Sunday evening, and has not returned home since. The daughter kept in minimal contact and refused to tell Hanlon her location. The juvenile was entered into MULES and NCIC as a missing person.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers responded to the 200 block of East Walnut for a possible burglary. A male suspect was still at the residence. Justin R. Bales, 30, of Columbia, was identified and detained. Bales was issued a summons for Trespassing with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police spoke with Lauren Bergstrom Monday afternoon in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a theft. Bergstrom stated that she lost her debit card at the Dollar General Store, 713 East Broadway, several days ago. Fraudulent charges were then made with the card on Sunday, totalling $308.00. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

On the afternoon of December 28th, Vitalii Gavryliuk came to the Police Department to file a report of theft that occurred in the 200 block of East 2nd Street. There was no further information in the report.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Taco Bell, 820 South Limit, for a license violation Monday night. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended driver's license, which was confirmed through Dispatch. Brenden Michael Price, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested but released from the scene, pending Sedalia municipal charges of Driving While Suspended.


 

Early Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East 7th Street in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, Officers identified a subject on scene who was later run through Dispatch. Dispatch confirmed the subject had an active Pettis County warrant for Stealing, with bond set at $2500 cash or surety. Martavious K. Thomas, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on the warrant.
