Early Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 1000 block of East 6th Street in reference to a physical domestic disturbance. The victim stated his girlfriend assaulted him, causing injuries. Officers made contact and determined the female was the primary aggressor. Deanna K. Gilmore, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Gilmore was placed on a 24 hour hold pending state charges of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree.


 

On the afternoon of December 18th, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a truck that was driving on the wrong side of West Main Street near Mitchell Road. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Jeremy Altis, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Altis provided a breath sample that showed his blood alcohol concentration to be above 0.08. Altis was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 12 hour Safekeeping hold. A request for the charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender) has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a theft investigation on the night of December 17th. Jamie Marine Parish, 45, of Sedalia, was identified as having stolen approximately $250 in items that day and the previous day. The stolen items were recovered and two citations for Stealing were issued to Parish.


 

Wednesday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a domestic assault that occurred the day prior. Rebecca Lujan reported her 15 year old daughter assaulting her and her other daughter. A juvenile referral was made to the Pettis County Juvenile Office for domestic assault.


 

An Officer initiated a traffic stop on a truck for improper registration near the 1900 block of West Main Street Wednesday afternoon. A check through Dispatch showed the driver's license was suspended. A consent search of the vehicle found marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, which were seized for destruction. Mario Tyron Edwards-Cunningham, 35, of Kansas City, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers met with David Loveland at the Police Department regarding a pistol that had been left in the 500 block of West 7th Street. A check of the pistol's serial number showed it had been reported stolen in Arkansas. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Sedalia Police met with Kevin Kroger Wednesday morning, who reported damages to newly poured concrete in the 300 block of West Main Street. The suspect is unknown at this time.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers met with Doris June Skutnick at the Sedalia Police Department. Skutnick wished to report that she had given money to someone to secure an apartment, but the person stopped responding and it appeared she was the victim of a scam. Skutnick completed a written statement and wished to pursue charges.


 

On the afternoon of December 18th, Officers spoke with Charles Smith, who stated he discovered a lost credit card at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. Pettis County Deputies retrieved the credit card from the caller's home in Smithton. It was placed into evidence after the owner was unable to be contacted.


 

Last Saturday afternoon, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of West Jefferson Street as they believed the driver had a suspended license. Dispatch confirmed the driver's status was suspended. Antonio Javon Macon, 33, of Sedalia, was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he was processed and issued a summons for Driving While Suspended with a court date.
